From the Archive: Charlie on Christian Political Engagement

If Christ's kingdom is not of this world, why should Christians participate in politics? Charlie got asked that question all the time, and was fighting constantly to overcome Christian apathy in the face of political obstacles. In this bonus episode Charlie debunks the many excuses Christians use to not vote, walks through the values that are on the ballot each election cycle, and proves why Christians have a moral obligation to join politics rather than sit it out.

00:00:03 Speaker 1: My name is Charlie Kirk. I run the largest pro-American student organization in the country fighting for the future of our republic. My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth. If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable. But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful. College is a scam, everybody. You got to stop sending your kids to college. You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible. Go start a Turning Point USA college chapter. Go start a Turning Point USA high school chapter. Go find out how your church can get involved. Sign up and become an activist. I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade. Most important decision I ever made in my life, and I encourage you to do the same. Here I am. Lord, use me. Buckle up, everybody. Here we go. Today, I want to talk just broadly to the people watching on the live stream that might be out of state and also to all of you, kind of how should we Christians think about what's about to happen on Tuesday. Should we involve ourselves? Should we just watch from afar? Should we be interested? What does the Bible say about should we care about politics or not care about politics? And the Bible says a lot about these things because there is a growing belief, and I believe a growing heresy, where people say Christians should not care at all about what's happening in government. Now, we have to be very clear that Jesus needs to be the center of everything that we do. Jesus at the center of it all. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and there is nothing more important than giving your life to the Lord. Nothing. Now, I always joke around. I say that my day job is doing the second most important thing. The most important thing is spreading Jesus to people all across the country and the world. I do that as much as I can, but the second thing is making sure we could do the first thing. The second thing is making sure that churches don't get shut down arbitrarily. The second most important thing is to making sure that we can continue to have church and have Christian schools. And so as we look at what's happening into Tuesday, I want to share a couple scriptures with you. The first of which is Jeremiah 29, 7. It says, seek the welfare of the nation that you are in because your welfare is tied to your nation's welfare. Now that word seek could also be an English word of demand or require. or go to your leaders and say you want it a certain way. It's a Hebrew word. I'm going to butcher the pronunciation of the drash, meaning that you want to require it for your own well-being. Now, that's a very clear teaching. That's the Lord speaking in Jeremiah 29, 7, that you should care about what's happening around you. And I think all of us here, and obviously you live here and you know it, New Mexico has some very serious problems right now. I've been coming here for over 10 years. And you could just see it just driving down Route 66, driving down Central. It's not the place it was 10 years ago. I mean, there's always been problems, obviously. But this place is falling apart because the political leaders in the state have allowed it to fall apart for far too long. And we need to have a heart for all people. But when I'm driving down the street at 8 o'clock in the morning and you see people that are doing hard drugs on the side of the street at 8 a.m., in the open air, you say, that's the downfall of civil society. And we as Christians should care about that. So Jeremiah 29, 7 is demand the welfare of the nation that you are in. Seek the welfare of the nation that you are in. Require the welfare. That should bother us. That should concern us. And so let's kind of talk about three issues, though, even beyond kind of vagrancy, homelessness, drug use, which is obviously really important. that every Christian across the country should care about this coming Tuesday. So I make the argument that you are biblically commanded to at least go and vote by Tuesday. Now, who here is going to vote on Tuesday? Raise your hand. Election day. Who's already voted? Raise your hand. About half. Okay, about 60-40. God bless those of you that have already voted. I hope your vote counts. Those of you that are showing up on election day. I'm an election day voter, by the way. I'm a big believer in election day voting, but I'm not going to scold you. Early voting is great because you got it out of the way. You got it done, right? You don't want the lines. Maybe you have a job. I totally respect that. I think voting in person on election day is special. I'm a big election. I know some of you agree. There's something really, really magical about that. But some people say, okay, Charlie, I'm going to vote. I'm going to get maybe a friend or two to vote. But how should I vote as a Christian? Now, I'm going to talk less about political parties. I'm going to talk less about that. You guys can fill in the gaps. I'm just going to tell you, you have to vote biblically. And there are three things that are literally on the ballot. And it's not democracy on the ballot that we keep on hearing all the time. No, it's three things that are on the ballot that are so clear that affect our church, that affect Christianity, that affect our viewpoint, affect the gospel. Number one. All of you lived through what I believe to be one of the most immoral, unconstitutional, reckless campaigns of this governor recklessly and unconstitutionally shutting down the church. And by the way, this church led by Pastor Steve was heroic in its stand against the tyranny of this governor. Heroic. Now, so what's on the ballot on Tuesday? Very simple. New Mexico can send a message and say the church is essential. In fact, the church is more essential than strip clubs, liquor stores, Home Depot, weed dispensaries, and abortion clinics. That's on the ballot on Tuesday. It's that simple. You might not have to like every other issue, and we'll talk about what if, well, Charlie, I don't like the candidate because that candidate's not as good of a person as I am. We'll go through that, okay? That is the root of a lot of people's complaints. I'm a good person. The candidate is not, which I always find funny. We're all sinners, okay? We're all so far from God's glory. So we'll talk about that in a second. 00:06:27 Speaker 2: If you've ever skipped the doctor because you couldn't afford it, you need to hear this. Christian Healthcare Ministries is the Christian alternative to health insurance. In under 10 minutes, you can join and start saving hundreds of dollars every month. As a member, you have freedom to get the best care at an affordable price with programs starting at $ 115 a month. I'll say that again, $ 115 a month. Just think of how you can put those savings back into your everyday needs. And in 2027, CHM isn't raising their prices, so you can kick off the new year with stable and affordable assurance. 00:07:03 Speaker 1: When you switch. 00:07:04 Speaker 2: You're not just getting more savings and freedom, your contributions help other believers too. Start today by visiting chministries.org slash charlie and use the promo code charlie for a 50% credit towards your first month. That's chministries.org slash charlie and use the promo code charlie. 00:07:25 Speaker 1: So number one is the church is essential. And this governor, I mean this with no, every time, I can't remember her name. It's kind of like a running joke. Because why? She doesn't have a name worth remembering, that's why. Because she has recklessly gone after the church and so arrogantly. And I think, well, I'll get to what I think is going to happen. But okay, essential church, number one. The church is, and they always say that, you know, separation of church and state. How often have we heard that, right? Okay, that's not in the constitution, right? That's not in the Federalist Papers. It's not in the Declaration of Independence. It was a single letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptist Convention, actually guaranteeing the church that the church would not be persecuted by the government. But let's pretend that was the law of the land, okay? Let's pretend that is actually what stands in our country. Then why is it, if we have separation of church and state, why is it that this governor and the New Mexico government was able to shut down the church? I thought they were supposed to be separate. Right? Oh, wait, hold on. The government can come into the church, but Christians aren't allowed to go into government? No, no, no. What they're trying to say is they want to be able to control us, but they don't want Christians to have a say in government. That's what they say. That's what they're saying when they communicate that. The second thing is this, and I've been very outspoken on this issue, and it kind of drives people a little wild, but it shouldn't. I know it's very controversial. We as the church must send a message that men cannot become pregnant, and God created man, and God created woman. Not that hard. This idea of 500 genders and all this nonsense, it is a direct perversion of the natural law. But maybe you believe that. Okay, fine. You can have that belief. We live in a pluralistic society. Then how about this? You never teach it to a child in a public school in the state of New Mexico. Okay? Can we all agree with that? So you can say what you want. You can have all these different goofy beliefs. Fine. The line is our children. When all of a sudden you're teaching 8-year-olds, 10-year-olds, 11-year-olds, 12-year-olds that they could choose their gender, and you have these incredibly aggressive, irreversible medical interventions where we are medically mutilating tens of thousands and soon to be hundreds of thousands of children across the country, we have to draw the line and say, we are not going to put up with this. And when you see the pornography in our schools, you see this graphic nature of They say, you know what? Our children are off limits. We as the church must be screaming that from the rooftops. And that that is a non-negotiable okay the third the third thing is I'm told by people all the time Charlie this is a losing issue stop talking about it it's not worth it and you know what that might be right in certain circles I don't care Because it's a very simple issue. Life begins at conception and every single life needs to be protected and preserved in the womb. Period. Now, why? Why do we believe that as Christians? Yes, in the Psalms it says you're fearfully and wonderfully made. In Jeremiah it says I knew you before you were in the womb. It says that John the Baptist leapt in Elizabeth's womb at just the sound of our Savior. There's all sorts of different verses that talk about how that is a life, fearfully and wonderfully made, but it's even deeper than that. We are made in the image of God. We are the speaking beings. God spoke things into existence. We have a soul. You are only temporarily occupying this body. You have a soul that will live forever, a soul that will go to heaven. Therefore, if you believe human beings have souls, you believe that that human being is worthy of protection. But if you believe a human being is an accident of Darwinian evolution, if you think the human being just kind of randomly came into existence, why wouldn't you be able just to crush a million babies a year? It's an inconvenience. But when all of a sudden you look at that as a soul and someone that is equally a human being as you, your own convenience actually isn't as important as as their life, as their liberty, as their future. Because you're dealing with somebody that has the same type of soul that you have. That's what we mean as human equality, by the way. It's not equal height, equal talent, equal weight, equal wealth, equal riches. No, no, no. It's that we're the same type of thing. We're both human beings made in the image of God, and we need equal protection under the law. And right now, I think you can all feel it at times, the spiritual darkness and pressure that plagues this city and this region. Because this is the late-term abortion capital of the world. And I think that could be changed. I really do. I think that through a committed church with a vision, without a vision, people perish. We must expose the evil deeds, as it says in Ephesians 5, 2. And so what is on the ballot this Tuesday? That the church is essential. That God created man and woman and we will not teach our children anything other than that. And that life begins at conception. If we as the church cannot agree on those three things, then we got a lot deeper problems. The church is essential. Life begins at conception. God created man and woman. October 15th. Write it down. 00:12:35 Speaker 2: Set an alarm because the second that date passes, There's no extension, no grace period, no second chance. Liens, wage garnishments, bank account seizures. That's the IRS taking what you've earned. If you filed an extension and haven't submitted your return yet, stop what you're doing and call America Tax Group, the nation's leading tax firm right now. 00:12:56 Speaker 1: Do so at 888-381-3816. 00:12:56 Speaker 2: Mention the code Kirk26 when you call for $ 250 off. Miss this deadline and failure to file penalties are assessed immediately with interest, compounding daily, growing your debt every single hour. Every hour past October 15th hands the IRS more power over your life. So if you owe back taxes or haven't filed, understand this. It's not a matter of if the IRS will act, it's when. And that clock is ticking. Dealing with the IRS without professional help is extremely risky, so don't do it. Not with days left on the clock. So protect your financial security with guidance from America Tax Group. Call the firm I trust right now before October 15th, 888-381-3816. Mention the code Kirk26 when you call for $ 250 off. 00:13:49 Speaker 1: Now, we can all agree on that, but I'm sure there's someone in this audience and I could just see them. They have their arms crossed and they're looking at me and they say, Charlie, what is the point of me voting if my vote is going to be stolen? Okay, this is, be very fairly, I'm going to be very nice, but this is Pastor Steve's church, so I could be a little bit more forthright. Which is, that is the dumbest thing I've heard in quite some time. Okay, let me be very clear. You have a 0% chance of saving the republic by not voting. 0%. I fully acknowledge that your vote might be shredded and teared away. But if you vote, at least you have some chance of it counting. Not voting is basically acknowledging that the enemy has won and that you're not showing up. Now, I hear all the wackiest excuses you could imagine from people, right? Some people say, well, Charlie, I can't show up and vote because I don't have enough time. Or I say, hold on, not enough time. I just drove by a Starbucks as I came in here. in Albuquerque. And I mean, I was looking at people that were sitting and waiting 20 minutes for a Frappuccino. And, you know, you go to the McDonald's line, they wait 15 minutes to go get diabetes and increase their chance of heart disease. And I think to myself, okay, you can Wait very patiently for something that will decrease your life expectancy, but you can't go wait in line or you can't go vote early for 10 to 20 minutes to go fill out a piece of paper to go save the republic. Yeah, that's a really bad excuse, by the way. That's the worst excuse. Well, I don't have time. By the way, you know the idea of the narrative, I don't have time. It's not important. You know that's the enemy? That's the enemy whispering in your ear? Like, oh, go get another cheeseburger. And finally, I'm not against cheeseburgers. I'm very pro-cheeseburger, okay? But I'm more pro-voting than I am cheeseburger. Let's be very clear, okay? By the way, get a cheeseburger after you vote, and that's fine, okay? But the point is this. If every Christian in the state of New Mexico showed up and voted biblically in just a couple hours from now, that governor will be displaced from power overnight. It's that simple. The math is there. Now, we must look at the scriptures, right? James 4, 17. For whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is to sin. That's a very clear teaching. You now know the right thing to do is to go vote. And failing to do that, I believe, is rebelling against God. I'm not asking you to go storm Normandy Beach. I'm not asking you to go pull an all-nighter. Basically, I'm saying is for everyone in the audience is just to show up and fill out a piece of paper. And even better, go bring three friends. Go bring five friends. Go take out your phone and text 10 people and nag them. Have you voted? Have you voted? Have you voted? Have you voted? Have you voted? Have you voted? Because the only way that you're ever to get this back into alignment is through people showing up. And you know what's so amazing? At times, the most stubborn people when it comes to voting are Christians. It's amazing. Do you know that only half of regular everyday church attending Christians vote in midterm elections? Only half. The secular world is at 56%. So the secular world actually shows up more than Christians. I think part of it, honestly, is because most churches aren't like this church and they're not being told by their pastor that you got to go do the thing on election day and you got to go vote because they say, oh, what difference does it make? I could tell you what difference it makes. The difference is having a governor that won't shut you down. The difference is when, for example, I can tell you, you're about to see a very big difference because I think Arizona is about to elect Carrie Lake and I think it's going to be one of the most amazing things you're going to see. Makes a big difference. Now, we must understand there's all these different types of ministries out there, right? There's the music ministry. There is cultural impact ministries. There are prison fellowship ministries and drug rehabilitation ministries and men's ministries. And praise God for all of them, right? We are called to be salt and light. As Jesus said, you are the salt of the earth. But if the salt has lost its taste, how shall it be saltiness be restored? How shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. Jesus continued. by saying you are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. What do salt and light have in common? They change the environment that they come in contact with. Salt makes something saltier and changes it, makes it more preserved forever. Light excommunicates the darkness, makes it easier for people to flourish. The question is, are we being salt and light? Are we changing the environment that we are put in right now? That's a mission right now. It is a mission in the state of New Mexico to bring it back into alignment, to try to reduce the crime, to try to protect those that can't protect themselves. And I had somebody the other day said, oh, Charlie, what is the point? Why even do this anymore? I'll tell you why. We're fighting for the girl that got illegally sex trafficked across the border last night. We're fighting for the person that's going to overdose on fentanyl. In Farmington, we're fighting for the kid that's about to consume pornography in the public schools here, in Albuquerque public schools. We're not going to put up with that because we fight for the least of these in our society. And we're not going to all of a sudden roll over and be cynical and apathetic because we're told that there's a small chance of victory. 00:19:00 Speaker 2: Before he ever stepped onto a debate stage or behind a microphone, Charlie understood something really important. that if you want to lead, you first have to learn. Charlie believed that ideas shape character, conviction, and courage. That's why he spent years studying the classics, the American founding, and the Bible through Hillsdale College's free online courses. He would rave about these courses all the time. These free online courses are taught by Hillsdale College professors and draw from the same great books and enduring ideas studied on Hillsdale's campus. Hillsdale's newest free online course is The Iliad, where Professor Stephen Smith guides students through Homer's great epic of honor, courage, friendship, leadership, and the pursuit of true greatness. For nearly 3,000 years, The Iliad has shaped the Western imagination. It tells the story of Achilles as he confronts injustice, rage, grief, responsibility, and and the terrible costs of war. But Homer's epic is more than a story of ancient battles. It raises enduring questions about courage, duty, leadership, sacrifice, and self-command. Achilles is the greatest warrior among the Greeks, but Homer asks whether strength alone is enough to make a man truly great. In this new free online course, you'll follow Achilles through the defining trials of his life and discover why one of the greatest works of Western literature still speaks to the permanent questions of human life. Charlie understood that learning isn't just about gaining knowledge. It's about forming the mind and character needed to face the challenges of life with wisdom and courage. You can enroll today completely free and take this class or their 40 plus other free online courses. Just visit charlieforhillsdale.com to start learning today. That's Charlie for Hillsdale. Learn deeply, think clearly, lead boldly, and carry it forward just like Charlie. 00:20:45 Speaker 1: So if you're disheartened, John 16, 33, to those who are disheartened by the trouble in the world, we tell them to take heart because Jesus has overcome the world. Now, we as Christians must remember Jesus has won the battle. That should make us go into this with joy and optimism, not with kind of negativity and pessimism. That should make us want to do more for those around us, not less. And this is the cool thing. It's very simple what has to be done in the next couple of days. But some people say, Charlie, Jesus wasn't political, okay? Jesus, he never really liked politics. I just do the gospel. I do evangelism. I don't care about what happens politically. Now, I talked about how the church could be closed down, but I ask the question, can anyone tell me in these 66 books of the Bible, the word of God, can anyone find an example in scripture where God encourages us to ignore what's happening in the world around us? Can anyone find a scripture where Jesus told us to retreat from the evil? He tells us to lean into it and to be not afraid. You see, in a time when you look at the odds against you, is it the time to go just kind of cower and act as if you have nothing to say? Or is it that we now have the word of God and we have the wind at our back and we have momentum and we're going to do more than ever before? You see, how many election cycles have we heard of people say, oh, this is New Mexico. There's no chance. We have no opportunity. This state is not a majorly populated state, as you well know. Therefore, every single one of you that vote, your vote actually matters more, especially those of you that might not vote on a regular basis. As Jesus said in Matthew 28, 19, go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Disciples, not only converts of all nations, and discipleship goes deep, and disciples care about the welfare of the nation that you are in. We all are called to be disciples of Christ. And by the way, I'm not saying politics should be the only thing you care about. My only ask is to make it something important on the list. And it's not the most important thing every single day. It's not the thing that you should only care about. But you know, Daniel fasted and prayed for his nation. Esther, Mordecai, Jeremiah, Nehemiah were all looking to influence secular government for God's purpose. Maybe it's time for the church and for Christians to retake our role as counselor to the king of this nation. Amen. Now, some people say, well, Charlie, look, our godless government is so wicked, it's so terrible. And by the way, living in New Mexico, I could see why you would come to that conclusion, okay? Proverbs 14, 34, righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to my people. So we have to communicate what is righteousness, what is glorify God. In the same way, can we facilitate the opposite though? Because then some people say, well, Charlie, the people on the ballot, they're not Christian enough for me. You see, I'm a very good person. I go to midweek service. I go to Monday morning prayer. I fast and pray for my nation. I tithe. I'm a good person. The person running for office is not. Now, that's a very silly argument, but you know how often I hear that from people? Oh, that candidate isn't Christ-like. Okay. By the way, let's just use an example of a random politician that people don't like. Donald Trump. How about that? Okay. So people say, I don't like him. He's not Christ-like. You know, he shatters glass and all this. He's a narcissist. He's an egotist. All this stuff. I've heard it all. I say, okay. Well, look, you could say all those different things. I'm not saying we should elect him to the elder board of Legacy Church. If anyone wants to make that contention, you guys can talk to Pastor Steve about that. That would be an interesting recommendation. But here's what I will say. He's a bodyguard and he knows how to fight. And when you hire a bodyguard, you want someone to win. Now, I'm not here to talk about Trump, but I am here to kind of qualify something. A broken vessel that we all are. He lived a very colorful life. did more for the unborn than almost any other president in American history with Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, and Gorsuch, and putting them on the United States Supreme Court. Now, you look throughout the Bible, God used broken vessels for his purpose. Joseph, Job, Samson, Rahab, the Samaritan woman, Noah, Jeremiah, Jacob, David, Jonah, Naomi, Peter, Martha, Zacchaeus, and Paul, all throughout the scriptures are example after example of of people that were adulterers, that were prostitutes, people that were tax collectors, people that persecuted Christians. And guess what? God had a plan for them despite their sins. And so they say, well, Charlie, I don't like this candidate. This candidate isn't for me. I say, if God can use Samson who came upon him in a prostitute's bed and then use the jaw of a donkey to kill a thousand Philistines. to end up in the hall of faith in Hebrews, if he can use Paul, who wrote the most of the New Testament, who persecuted Christians, he can use an imperfect vessel to go fight for righteousness, fight for the unborn in government. And that is what we need to look. And that's how we need to look at this. You see, what I'm asking you is to understand the gratitude of the gift we have been given, which is the greatest nation ever to exist in the history of the world. The founding fathers were so clear in the structure. And the promise of our government, separation of powers, consent to the governed, independent judiciary. You see, the fact we have an election is an amazing thing. The fact you are a citizen and not a serf, not a slave. The fact that you are, or a subject, the fact that you're a citizen, someone that is a co-owner of your nation. The fact that you are able to actually participate in these elections is something so unique, so beautiful, so unprecedented. 00:26:14 Speaker 2: By the end of the year, more than 60,000 babies will have been saved by pre-born centers. Just this year, 60,000 babies. And for every baby who's saved, there's a mom who's saved from a lifetime of pain and regret. Take a stand for life by providing an ultrasound for a young woman. When you do, she is twice as likely to choose life. Just $ 28 helps provide that ultrasound that saves one baby. $ 140 helps save five. A gift of $ 15, 000. And I know there's people out there in this audience that can do this. $ 15, 000 provides an ultrasound machine that can save thousands of babies for years to come. And $ 28 a month can help save babies all year long for less than a dollar a day. So call 833-850-2229. That's 833-850-2229. Or click on the Preborn banner at charliekirk.com today. 00:27:05 Speaker 1: Preborn was so special to Charlie. 00:27:07 Speaker 2: And it's so important to me as well. 00:27:09 Speaker 1: Right now, you can help make motherhood possible by providing ultrasounds with Preborn. 00:27:14 Speaker 2: I'd be so honored if you'd prayerfully consider joining us. 00:27:19 Speaker 1: So the question is, do we as Christians care about that? Now, some Christians will say, well, Charlie, Jesus is coming next Thursday. So I don't really care about who's going to win. And by the way, you might be right. I think Jesus is coming. Whether Jesus is coming soon or coming not so soon is all just kind of our own human interpretation of time. But Jesus will be coming. But the question is, is that an excuse not to vote? Jesus said the time and the hour is unknown. Are we going to allow our eschatology to all of a sudden be an excuse for us not to try to better the world around us? No, the opposite. If you think Jesus is coming soon, you should be wanting to do more for his kingdom and actually spread the message more, not less, and be more of salt and light. So let me kind of tie all this together and close this as what I'm seeing in the country. But first, Let me make a very shameless plug as a way you guys could support us. I forgot to do this in the first in the first service. If you guys want to get more of our commentary, two things. On Tuesday evening, we are going to be streaming live on our live stream on Rumble, on YouTube. We're going to have tons of followers. If you want very biased election commentary that's going to be cheering for the House and the Senate to be flipped and also that understands the data, I fully acknowledge it'll be very biased, but it'll be true and it'll be fun. Why do I say this? Because you go watch the news. They say, oh, we're unbiased. You're the most biased person ever. I own my bias. I want the people that want to medically mutilate our children to lose terribly on Tuesday, and you should too. So I'm very biased in that way. But I do encourage you guys, if you guys could take out your phone and subscribe to our podcast, it does bless us. I ask every time I come here, some of you guys do it. It really does help us out. It's a QR code. If you don't know what a QR code is, I saw an eight-year-old around here. Or you could just independently, you could independently open up your podcast app and type in Charlie Kirk Show. It blesses me immensely. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It's a way to us push back against the Silicon Valley censors. And thank you for all of you that listen to our show. We work very, very hard on our show. It really does bless us. So thank you. So let me close with this. And by the way, we've been going nonstop. I've been in like 15 states in the last seven days. It's been a very long month this week. We were in Florida. We've been all over the place, really going hard, campaigning for candidates with the work that Turning Point Action is doing. But this is actually the last speech I'm giving of the entire cycle, the last one at a church, and I wanted it to be here in New Mexico, because I love the underdog. And I think that... I think that New Mexico has not received the love you guys deserve. Because so many of you guys are fighting so hard. You're fasting and praying. You're organizing your precincts. You're raising money. You're doing the things that are necessary. And kind of the national Republican snobs, as I call them, they all, you know, New Mexico's a waste of time. It's all that. It's like, no, I see how much you guys care about your home. When we have these events together, when you ask the questions and how much you care about your education, you look at the room around you. If every single person here brought three friends to the polls on Tuesday... The multiplication effect could just shock the entire world. And so what I am asking here is for every Christian watching at home, for every single person here in this audience, is in this short window to fulfill Jesus' commandment of being salt and light. To change the environment that you are in. Because boy, there would be a lot of changing of this environment that you are in in New Mexico. Because we've been given this incredible gift of the United States Constitution that was not written for the times, but written to stand the test of time. And we as American citizens, we can make a choice. We can make a choice just to kind of be spectators and sit around. And I know a lot of you here have said, Charlie, I'm tired of hearing this. I've done everything that you've asked me to do. I watched Tucker Carlson. I bought the pillow. I've done everything that you've asked me to do. By the way, promo code Kirk at mypillow.com, just so we're clear, okay? I'm not asking you to storm Normandy Beach. I'm not asking you to go, you know, pull an all-nighter, as I said previously. Instead, it's a call to action on Tuesday. And I'm telling you, I can start to feel the ground rumbling. I can feel it from Pennsylvania to North Carolina to Michigan to Wisconsin to Arizona to Oregon to New York. There's something seismic that is developing coming on Tuesday. But guess what? None of that will happen if we are just a spectator buying Relief Factor on television. By the way... Great product, okay? Instead, it's going to happen if the citizen, you, the American church, you, the Christian you, does something more heading into Tuesday. Reject apathy. You reject pessimism. You get into the arena and you say, you know what? People that came before me sacrificed so much so I can live in a free society. It's not about me. It's about our kids, about our grandkids. It's about the gospel. And that is being salt and light to a nation that needs it. Flood the polls on Tuesday. It's your biblical duty to do so. God bless New Mexico, and thank you guys for having me. Thank you so much. 00:32:18 Speaker 2: For more on many of these stories and news you can trust, go to charliekirk.com.
