Hebrews 11: Faith That Trusts God—Even When You Can’t See

In this episode of Divine Stream Radio, Jason Blaiklock walks through Hebrews 11 and explains why faith isn’t wishful thinking—it’s confidence in the living God. From the definition of faith in verse 1 to the examples of Abel, Enoch, and those who endured difficulty, you’ll see how faith works in real life: believing God exists, trusting His character, and holding on to His promises until the outcome arrives. [00:00:00] Welcome back to Divine Stream Radio Podcast. I'm Jason Blakelock. Today we're stepping into one of the most encouraging chapters in the Bible, Hebrews 11, where the message is clear. Faith is not wishful thinking. Faith is trust in the living God, even when you can't yet see the outcome. Let's start with Hebrews 11.1. It says,

[00:00:19] Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. In other words, faith gives us a kind of inner confidence. It's like the soul says, God is real. God is working. Even though I can't see it with my eyes right now, I can trust him with my heart. And then the chapter takes us through how faith played out in real people's lives. People who lived, acted and obeyed because they believed God would be. In verse three, we read something powerful.

[00:00:47] By faith, we understand that the universe was created by the Word of God. So faith isn't only about personal comfort. It's also about believing that God is the creator and sustainer of everything. Then Hebrews 11 gives examples, starting with Abel, who offered God a better sacrifice because he trusted God. Enoch walked with God and he disappeared because God took him. What's striking is that the chapter keeps highlighting that faith is not only about personal comfort.

[00:01:17] Faith shows up in how we live. Now, one of the most memorable verses is verse six. And without faith, it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. That means faith is the bridge that brings us close to God. We come to God, not with perfect understanding, but with trusting belief. Faith. But this chapter doesn't faith.

[00:01:42] Faith makes life.

[00:02:40] It moves us. Sometimes faith helps you stand in the storm with God. Thanks for listening. I invite you to join the discussion. Visit our podcast super site at divinestreamradio.com.
