Welcome to "The Gates of Heaven." I'm Ian McCormack, the jellyfish man. Today, we explore the profound theme of unity and oneness in Christ, reflecting the unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In John 17:20-23, Jesus prays for this oneness among His followers. Colossians 1:13-20 and 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 reveal how we see Jesus as the invisible God and understand God’s thoughts through the Holy Spirit.
Salvation brings us into divine unity, as described in Colossians 1:25-27. We're called to focus on heavenly things (Colossians 3:1-4). Marriage illustrates this oneness (Matthew 19:4-6), and Revelation 19:7-8 speaks of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Unity embraces differences, transforming us into one in Christ.
In my marriage, I learned that unity requires transformation, becoming one golden vessel. God seeks devoted hearts (2 Chronicles 16:9) and heals our motives (Isaiah 61:1-2). Our treasures reflect our hearts (Matthew 6:21), and as we give, God blesses us abundantly (Luke 6:38).
