In a world that often promotes self-interest, Paul teaches us the way of humility. We turn our focus to Christ, who, despite being in very nature God, chose the path of humility and service, even to the point of death on a cross. This profound passage reveals the true shape of love and greatness in willing service and obedience. Because of His humility, God exalted Jesus, and every knee will bow, acknowledging Him as Lord. The cross led to victory and exaltation, affirming Jesus as Lord of all. Paul also encourages believers to work out their salvation with fear and trembling, emphasizing that it is God who works in us to fulfill His good pleasure.
