The Bible explicitly and universally warns against resentment, describing it as a destructive, foolish emotion that poisons the spirit and hinders one's relationship with God. In fact Scripture commands believers to remove bitterness and anger, urging forgiveness, kindness, and compassion, as modeled by Christ’s forgiveness of humanity
Ephesians 4:31-32
Says
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.”

“Nothing on earth consumes a man more quickly than the passion of resentment.”
Friedrich Nietzche.
So don’t drink the “Coolade”.
1 can experience resentment as a feeling rather than have it consume me. It is all right. I am not acting it out — running, escaping, whirling into insanity. I reach for the telephone, the Bible, come face to face with a friend. I am not alone, nor am I frightened. Resentment is a feeling, not a deed. I can experience much without wreaking havoc.
I can speak my thoughts, show my "bad side," to God and God understands —and my Christian friends accept me without reservation because I walk in love not resentment.
For today: Thank God for the healing power of forgiveness.
