Sermon Snippet
I am trying to expand and amplify the scripture in 1 peter 3:12:
1 Peter 3:12 shows that God watches over good people and listens to their prayers, but He turns away from those who do evil.
Meaning of the Scripture
The Lord's Eyes: God watches people who do right.
His Ears: He hears when they pray for help.
His Face: He turns away from people who do bad things.
How to Apply It
Do good things every day.
Talk to God in prayer.
Stay away from bad acts.
The Bible says God keeps tears in a bottle in Psalm 56:8 ("You have collected all my tears in your bottle"). And the Bible describes prayers in a bowl (or golden vials/bowls of incense) representing the prayers of God's people in Revelation 5:8
Key Differences in Scripture
Tears in a Bottle: Psalm 56:8 is a psalm by David. It shows that God notices, values, and remembers every sorrow and tear of His people.
Prayers in a Bowl: Revelation 5:8 describes heavenly elders holding golden bowls filled with incense, which are explained as the prayers of the saints.
People often combine these two poetic ideas to mean that God never forgets our tears or our prayers.
