I’m trying to explain and amplify First Corinthians chapter 14 verse 38 in the King James Version and then in the Amplified Version of the Bible:
First Corinthians 14:38 in the King James Version says: "But if any be ignorant, let him be ignorant." This means if a person chooses to ignore God's rules about orderly worship God will leave them in their state of stubborn lack of knowledge. First Corinthians 14:38 in the Amplified Bible (AMP) it states: "If anyone does not recognize this that it is a command of the Lord, he is not recognized by God.”
Meaning of the Verse
The context: Paul is talking about church order. He explains how prophecy and speaking in tongues should happen in an organized way, inter Alia. And in chapter 11 he explains how men an women are to worship and that this is the word of the Lord.
The warning: Some people might refuse to accept these rules.
The result: Paul tells the church not to fight with them forever. God lets people choose their own path if they refuse to learn.

Stubborn pride: Some listeners refuse to follow biblical order.
God's choice: God allows people to stay blind if they want to be proud.
Moving forward: Leaders do not need to argue with those who refuse truth. Phew, what a relief!
