Passage: Exodus 9:27-33

00:00:00 --> 00:00:16 On Boxing Day 1944, a Japanese Imperial Army intelligent officer, Hiro Onado, was dropped off at Laban Island of the Philippines during World War II.
00:00:17 --> 00:00:28 He and three other soldiers were ordered to do all he could to hamper the Allies on the island, including destroying the airstrip and the pier at the harbor.
00:00:28 --> 00:00:36 The order also stated that under no circumstance was he to surrender or to take his own life.
00:00:37 --> 00:00:49 He took the order to heart, so he spent 29 years hiding out in the Philippine jungle after the war was ended in August 1945.
00:00:49 --> 00:01:00 Until his former commander traveled from Japan back to the island to relieve him from his duty by the Emperor's order in 1974.
00:01:01 --> 00:01:12 For 29 years, Onado and his companions carried out guerrilla activities and engaged in several shootouts with the local police.
00:01:12 --> 00:01:17 They had many pieces of evidence that the war has ended.
00:01:18 --> 00:01:27 The first one was in October 1945, when he saw an airdrop leaflet announcing that Japan had surrendered.
00:01:28 --> 00:01:33 But their heart was not convinced and decided to stay hiding.
00:01:33 --> 00:01:40 One of his companions surrendered in 1950, and another one was killed in 1954.
00:01:41 --> 00:01:47 Onado finally lost his last companion in 1972 after another shootout.
00:01:48 --> 00:01:58 In February 1974, a young Japanese university jobber, Norio Tsuzuki, came to the island to look for him,
00:01:58 --> 00:02:02 wanting to listen to Lieutenant Onado, wanting to listen to Lieutenant Onado.
00:02:03 --> 00:02:08 When asked by Suzuki, why would you not come out from the jungle?
00:02:09 --> 00:02:15 Onado said he was waiting for his superior officer to relieve him of his order.
00:02:16 --> 00:02:24 So both government organized for his former commander to travel back to the island to order him to surrender formally.
00:02:24 --> 00:02:37 The stubborn refusal of hero or another to surrender for 29 years caused constant disturbance and trouble for the locals on the Philippines island.
00:02:38 --> 00:02:43 They stole their crops, they killed their livestock, and even some farmers too.
00:02:43 --> 00:02:52 Today's chapter, we will also witness a nation being assaulted by a series of disasters,
00:02:53 --> 00:03:04 and a leader who, despite these disasters, exacerbated the suffering of its people by repeatedly refusing to choose what is good and right.
00:03:05 --> 00:03:08 We will learn about Pharaoh and the plate,
00:03:08 --> 00:03:12 but most of all we will learn about the power and mercy of God,
00:03:12 --> 00:03:16 and what will it take for you to surrender all of your life to God.
00:03:17 --> 00:03:25 Last week in chapter 3 and 4, we saw how God called and equipped Moses for the task he is about to do,
00:03:25 --> 00:03:29 by promising that he will be with him always.
00:03:29 --> 00:03:33 After a couple of chapters of going back and forth,
00:03:33 --> 00:03:39 we finally see Moses go up to Pharaoh in chapter 5 to deliver God's demand.
00:03:40 --> 00:03:46 He approached Pharaoh with his brother Aaron and proclaimed to him in chapter 5 verse 1,
00:03:46 --> 00:03:49 this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, say,
00:03:49 --> 00:03:55 let my people go so that they may hold a festival to me in the wilderness.
00:03:55 --> 00:03:55 Moses.
00:03:56 --> 00:04:04 They did an incredible boat at risking their life to make such a demand upon Pharaoh,
00:04:05 --> 00:04:07 but they did it without compromise.
00:04:10 --> 00:04:13 And there is no mention of Moses in this world.
00:04:14 --> 00:04:16 They were speaking for God.
00:04:16 --> 00:04:25 Moses finally realized that and took to his heart that God's liberation of his people
00:04:25 --> 00:04:29 would be fulfilled through God's power, not his.
00:04:30 --> 00:04:35 Moses was full of fear and self-centeredness before meeting the living God,
00:04:35 --> 00:04:38 but God helped him to repent of his pride.
00:04:39 --> 00:04:44 He is now confident and focused on God's power and began to die to himself.
00:04:44 --> 00:04:52 In the New Testament, we see the disciples of Jesus experience the same kind of changes
00:04:52 --> 00:04:56 before and after the cross and the resurrection.
00:04:57 --> 00:05:02 They were changed because they have met the living Christ
00:05:02 --> 00:05:04 and they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
00:05:05 --> 00:05:11 Disciples of Jesus Christ were transformed because they have met the great I Am.
00:05:11 --> 00:05:18 If you are a Christian, are you living a transformed and transforming life?
00:05:19 --> 00:05:20 Are you growing?
00:05:21 --> 00:05:24 How have you been surrendering your whole life to live a life
00:05:24 --> 00:05:27 that centers on glorifies and honor God?
00:05:28 --> 00:05:32 When Moses approached Pharaoh, he did not come to negotiate.
00:05:32 --> 00:05:38 He came with a simple command that based on the authority of the living God.
00:05:39 --> 00:05:41 He delivered to Pharaoh God's demand,
00:05:42 --> 00:05:45 let my people go so that they may worship me.
00:05:46 --> 00:05:50 Now it was Pharaoh's turn to encounter the power of the living God.
00:05:51 --> 00:05:52 How would he respond?
00:05:53 --> 00:05:55 Would he be transformed like Moses?
00:05:56 --> 00:06:00 Would he have changed of heart and obeyed the demand of God?
00:06:00 --> 00:06:06 Moses' faith has increased through his interaction with God
00:06:06 --> 00:06:11 as God transformed his heart and his willingness to trust and serve him.
00:06:12 --> 00:06:18 When it comes to Pharaoh, his story will witness an exact opposite dynamic.
00:06:19 --> 00:06:24 Pharaoh's heart became like Moses' heart, hardened by self-love and pride.
00:06:24 --> 00:06:30 But unlike Moses, Pharaoh's heart proceeds on a path of further hardening.
00:06:32 --> 00:06:34 Pharaoh's heart never softened.
00:06:35 --> 00:06:39 Instead, it becomes increasingly resistant to God's love and will.
00:06:39 --> 00:06:42 He stubbornly refused to yield his heart towards God.
00:06:44 --> 00:06:46 During his first encounter with Moses and Aaron,
00:06:47 --> 00:06:50 in Pharaoh's response to God's demand to free his people
00:06:50 --> 00:06:54 and allow them to go to worship him,
00:06:54 --> 00:06:56 we can see the starting condition of his heart.
00:06:57 --> 00:07:03 Pharaoh responds with contempt in Exodus 5, verse 2, saying,
00:07:04 --> 00:07:07 Who is the Lord that I should obey him and let Israel go?
00:07:07 --> 00:07:11 I do not know the Lord, and I will not let Israel go.
00:07:12 --> 00:07:16 Pharaoh's reply seems blatant disrespect to God's message.
00:07:16 --> 00:07:21 How dare he speak like that to our almighty God?
00:07:21 --> 00:07:24 But the statement of, I do not know the Lord,
00:07:24 --> 00:07:27 is a true statement of where he is at.
00:07:28 --> 00:07:30 Before his encounter with God,
00:07:31 --> 00:07:34 he considered himself a son of God,
00:07:35 --> 00:07:36 and no one tells him what to do.
00:07:38 --> 00:07:42 Pharaoh had not previously encountered God or his message.
00:07:42 --> 00:07:47 In many ways, he was just like the rest of us in this regard.
00:07:49 --> 00:07:53 When many of us first heard God's message through the scripture,
00:07:54 --> 00:07:58 some would have a similar reaction to this claim on our life.
00:07:58 --> 00:08:01 Like Pharaoh, we say in our hearts,
00:08:02 --> 00:08:04 Who is the Lord that I should obey him?
00:08:05 --> 00:08:06 And I do not know the Lord.
00:08:06 --> 00:08:13 Every person who does not know God begins in the same position that Pharaoh occupied,
00:08:14 --> 00:08:16 inclined not to accept God's truth.
00:08:17 --> 00:08:21 But God was not done with Pharaoh or any one of us.
00:08:22 --> 00:08:23 That is just the beginning.
00:08:23 --> 00:08:29 God responded to Pharaoh's confession of ignorance of him
00:08:29 --> 00:08:31 by unleashing a series of events
00:08:31 --> 00:08:38 that were meant to ensure that Pharaoh and Egypt would know the Lord.
00:08:39 --> 00:08:40 I will speak about those events
00:08:40 --> 00:08:45 of how God revealed his power to Pharaoh and his people in detail later.
00:08:46 --> 00:08:48 But let's keep looking at Pharaoh's heart now.
00:08:48 --> 00:08:54 We saw in Exodus 5, verse 2, that Pharaoh is like a lot of us.
00:08:55 --> 00:08:58 When we begin our respective journey to find out more about God,
00:08:59 --> 00:09:03 we begin this journey with an ignorant and resistant heart.
00:09:03 --> 00:09:06 But let's see what happened to his heart
00:09:06 --> 00:09:09 as God revealed himself through the power of the plagues.
00:09:10 --> 00:09:14 As each successive plague comes upon Egypt,
00:09:15 --> 00:09:17 Pharaoh's heart has only one reaction.
00:09:18 --> 00:09:21 It becomes hardened to God.
00:09:22 --> 00:09:27 That is an oversimplification of what is transpiring in Pharaoh's heart.
00:09:28 --> 00:09:32 In his commentary, J.A. Mottia points out that
00:09:32 --> 00:09:36 when it comes to Pharaoh's heart and his progressive hardening,
00:09:36 --> 00:09:40 we encounter at least three ways to describe this process.
00:09:40 --> 00:09:43 First, in Exodus 7,
00:09:44 --> 00:09:49 in verse 13, it tells us that Pharaoh's heart become hard.
00:09:50 --> 00:09:54 And verse 14, the Lord says Pharaoh's heart is unyeweling.
00:09:57 --> 00:10:02 Then in verse 23, Pharaoh did not take the first plague to heart.
00:10:02 --> 00:10:04 He did not allow his heart to be touched.
00:10:04 --> 00:10:08 Then if we go over to chapter 8,
00:10:09 --> 00:10:11 from verse 15 to 32,
00:10:12 --> 00:10:15 it declared that Pharaoh's hardened his own heart.
00:10:17 --> 00:10:20 So verse 19 states that Pharaoh's heart was hard,
00:10:20 --> 00:10:22 just as the Lord has said.
00:10:22 --> 00:10:26 And finally, when we come to chapter 9,
00:10:28 --> 00:10:32 verse 7, it says that Pharaoh investigated the truth of God's word,
00:10:33 --> 00:10:35 yet his heart was unyeweling.
00:10:36 --> 00:10:38 So there's this statement in verse 12 that
00:10:38 --> 00:10:41 the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart.
00:10:41 --> 00:10:45 We can see in chapter 9 and even chapter 10
00:10:45 --> 00:10:49 that Pharaoh even admit and confess that he has sinned.
00:10:49 --> 00:10:53 But all aspects of Pharaoh's heart come to a culmination
00:10:53 --> 00:10:57 in Exodus 9, 34 to 10, verse 1,
00:10:57 --> 00:10:58 where Paul had just read out for us.
00:10:59 --> 00:10:59 But I'll read that again.
00:11:00 --> 00:11:03 Exodus 9, verse 34.
00:11:03 --> 00:11:08 When Pharaoh saw that the rain and hell and thunder had stopped,
00:11:08 --> 00:11:09 he sinned again.
00:11:09 --> 00:11:13 He and his official hardened their hearts.
00:11:13 --> 00:11:15 So Pharaoh's heart was hard,
00:11:16 --> 00:11:18 and he would not let the Israelites go,
00:11:18 --> 00:11:21 just as the Lord has said through Moses.
00:11:22 --> 00:11:23 Then the Lord said to Moses,
00:11:23 --> 00:11:26 Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart
00:11:26 --> 00:11:28 and the heart of his official,
00:11:29 --> 00:11:32 so that I may perform these signs of mine among them.
00:11:33 --> 00:11:37 There are two perspectives to the hardening of Pharaoh's heart,
00:11:38 --> 00:11:39 Pharaoh and God.
00:11:39 --> 00:11:43 By his moral choice,
00:11:43 --> 00:11:48 Pharaoh let his heart become increasingly set in its way,
00:11:49 --> 00:11:53 getting more stubborn and committed more and more irreversibly
00:11:53 --> 00:11:57 to a cause of cultural genocide regarding the Israelites.
00:11:59 --> 00:12:03 Pharaoh is responsible for the hardening of his own heart
00:12:03 --> 00:12:04 through his action and choice.
00:12:04 --> 00:12:08 God has revealed himself to Pharaoh,
00:12:08 --> 00:12:10 and Pharaoh chose to respond with rebellion.
00:12:11 --> 00:12:13 And with each rebellion,
00:12:14 --> 00:12:17 Pharaoh's heart becomes more stubborn in its wickedness.
00:12:18 --> 00:12:21 His heart becomes more brutal and rigid
00:12:21 --> 00:12:24 with each sinful choice he makes.
00:12:24 --> 00:12:27 From God's perspective,
00:12:27 --> 00:12:31 as a moral ruler of this world,
00:12:32 --> 00:12:33 the hardening of Pharaoh's heart
00:12:33 --> 00:12:36 is nothing more than a statement
00:12:36 --> 00:12:39 that the point of no return has been reached.
00:12:41 --> 00:12:42 Pharaoh's own choice
00:12:42 --> 00:12:44 had made his heart so hard
00:12:44 --> 00:12:46 that the only justly,
00:12:46 --> 00:12:48 due consequence
00:12:48 --> 00:12:51 is to judge that his heart is hardened.
00:12:52 --> 00:12:54 And God took the full responsibility
00:12:54 --> 00:12:58 as creator of everything in this world
00:12:58 --> 00:12:59 to say,
00:12:59 --> 00:13:01 I have hardened his heart.
00:13:01 --> 00:13:05 The story of the hardening of Pharaoh's heart
00:13:05 --> 00:13:07 revealed to us that
00:13:07 --> 00:13:08 there is a point at which
00:13:08 --> 00:13:12 God will no longer endure or bear
00:13:12 --> 00:13:14 our rebellions towards him,
00:13:15 --> 00:13:18 but rightfully judge us for what we are.
00:13:20 --> 00:13:22 After repeated rebellions,
00:13:22 --> 00:13:24 whereby Pharaoh hardened himself
00:13:24 --> 00:13:27 against the revelation of God,
00:13:27 --> 00:13:30 God judged him for his disobedience
00:13:30 --> 00:13:32 and sealed his heart of stone.
00:13:35 --> 00:13:36 Don Carson's book,
00:13:36 --> 00:13:37 For the Love of God,
00:13:37 --> 00:13:39 which I was using for my devotional earlier,
00:13:40 --> 00:13:41 it says that
00:13:41 --> 00:13:46 God has not hardened a morally neutral man.
00:13:47 --> 00:13:49 He has pronounced judgment on a wicked man.
00:13:50 --> 00:13:52 Hell itself is a place
00:13:52 --> 00:13:55 where repentance is no longer possible.
00:13:56 --> 00:13:58 God's hardening has the effect
00:13:58 --> 00:13:59 of imposing that sentence
00:13:59 --> 00:14:02 a little earlier than usual.
00:14:04 --> 00:14:04 God's hardening
00:14:04 --> 00:14:08 and Pharaoh's hardening of his own heart
00:14:08 --> 00:14:10 are mutually complementary.
00:14:13 --> 00:14:16 The dynamic at work in Pharaoh's heart
00:14:16 --> 00:14:18 are not unique to him,
00:14:19 --> 00:14:21 but revealing a general truth
00:14:21 --> 00:14:23 about God and his sovereignty
00:14:23 --> 00:14:25 over every human.
00:14:25 --> 00:14:29 God is never complicit
00:14:29 --> 00:14:32 in instigating or causing sin,
00:14:33 --> 00:14:34 but he is not required
00:14:34 --> 00:14:38 to stop us from having what we desire,
00:14:38 --> 00:14:40 even if it is sinful.
00:14:40 --> 00:14:45 The cycle of hardening
00:14:45 --> 00:14:47 that we see in Pharaoh's heart
00:14:47 --> 00:14:49 is not limited to those
00:14:49 --> 00:14:50 who do not believe in God.
00:14:51 --> 00:14:53 Christian can also become
00:14:53 --> 00:14:56 entangled in self-hardening cycle,
00:14:57 --> 00:14:59 whereby the hearts become stubborn
00:14:59 --> 00:14:59 towards God.
00:15:01 --> 00:15:02 We build up a tolerance
00:15:02 --> 00:15:04 to a particular sin in our life.
00:15:04 --> 00:15:08 We try to limit our obedience.
00:15:09 --> 00:15:11 Instead of throwing ourselves
00:15:11 --> 00:15:13 into God's service,
00:15:14 --> 00:15:16 we try to limit what we do.
00:15:17 --> 00:15:20 What's the least I can get away with?
00:15:20 --> 00:15:22 How far do I have to go?
00:15:23 --> 00:15:25 Why should I have to deny my feelings?
00:15:26 --> 00:15:27 Rather than suffering
00:15:27 --> 00:15:29 for doing the right thing
00:15:29 --> 00:15:30 and obeying God,
00:15:31 --> 00:15:32 we all want comfort
00:15:32 --> 00:15:33 and self-gloafification.
00:15:34 --> 00:15:36 And we get entangled
00:15:36 --> 00:15:37 in a temporary,
00:15:38 --> 00:15:39 momentary release
00:15:39 --> 00:15:40 that sin gives us.
00:15:42 --> 00:15:44 When it comes to obedience,
00:15:45 --> 00:15:46 the writer of Hebrew
00:15:46 --> 00:15:47 told us that
00:15:47 --> 00:15:50 in chapter 5, 8 to 9,
00:15:51 --> 00:15:53 that although Jesus
00:15:53 --> 00:15:54 was the son of God,
00:15:55 --> 00:15:56 he learned obedience
00:15:56 --> 00:15:58 from what he suffered.
00:15:58 --> 00:16:00 And once made perfect,
00:16:00 --> 00:16:02 he became the source
00:16:02 --> 00:16:03 of eternal salvation
00:16:03 --> 00:16:05 for all who obey him.
00:16:06 --> 00:16:08 Jesus obeyed God
00:16:08 --> 00:16:09 even to the point of death
00:16:09 --> 00:16:11 on the cross.
00:16:12 --> 00:16:13 God convicted us
00:16:13 --> 00:16:14 of our sin
00:16:14 --> 00:16:16 by Jesus' death
00:16:16 --> 00:16:19 and softening our heart
00:16:19 --> 00:16:21 by sacrificing his own son
00:16:21 --> 00:16:23 to bear the judgment
00:16:23 --> 00:16:24 of our rebellions.
00:16:26 --> 00:16:27 God become,
00:16:27 --> 00:16:28 Jesus become the source
00:16:28 --> 00:16:30 of eternal salvation
00:16:30 --> 00:16:31 for all
00:16:31 --> 00:16:32 who committed
00:16:32 --> 00:16:33 their whole life
00:16:33 --> 00:16:34 to obey him.
00:16:36 --> 00:16:37 What happened
00:16:37 --> 00:16:39 to the heart of Pharaoh
00:16:39 --> 00:16:40 teaches us about
00:16:40 --> 00:16:42 the power and sovereignty
00:16:42 --> 00:16:43 of God's will.
00:16:44 --> 00:16:46 It reminds us that
00:16:46 --> 00:16:48 the significant changes
00:16:48 --> 00:16:50 between the believers
00:16:50 --> 00:16:51 and unbelievers
00:16:51 --> 00:16:53 are not the absence
00:16:53 --> 00:16:54 of sin,
00:16:54 --> 00:16:55 but rather
00:16:55 --> 00:16:56 the presence
00:16:56 --> 00:16:57 of God's grace
00:16:57 --> 00:16:59 in softening,
00:17:00 --> 00:17:00 convicting,
00:17:01 --> 00:17:01 and renewing
00:17:01 --> 00:17:02 the believers' hearts.
00:17:04 --> 00:17:05 Pharaoh's
00:17:05 --> 00:17:06 continuous rebellions
00:17:06 --> 00:17:07 and disregard
00:17:07 --> 00:17:08 towards God's call
00:17:08 --> 00:17:10 to turn to him
00:17:10 --> 00:17:11 to lead
00:17:11 --> 00:17:13 to severe consequences.
00:17:14 --> 00:17:15 A series of disasters
00:17:15 --> 00:17:17 before Egypt
00:17:17 --> 00:17:18 in 10 plates.
00:17:20 --> 00:17:22 Exodus 7-10
00:17:22 --> 00:17:23 covers the first 9,
00:17:24 --> 00:17:25 and the next week
00:17:25 --> 00:17:26 we'll talk about
00:17:26 --> 00:17:26 the last plate.
00:17:28 --> 00:17:30 So what do these plates
00:17:30 --> 00:17:31 teach us about God?
00:17:32 --> 00:17:33 The plate
00:17:33 --> 00:17:35 serves many purposes,
00:17:36 --> 00:17:36 and God refers
00:17:36 --> 00:17:37 to the plates
00:17:37 --> 00:17:38 in chapter 7,
00:17:38 --> 00:17:39 verse 3
00:17:39 --> 00:17:41 as signs and wonders.
00:17:42 --> 00:17:44 The Bible tells us
00:17:44 --> 00:17:45 that signs and wonders
00:17:45 --> 00:17:47 are often performed
00:17:47 --> 00:17:47 by God
00:17:47 --> 00:17:49 for a very explicit
00:17:49 --> 00:17:50 and truthful purpose.
00:17:50 --> 00:17:52 first,
00:17:52 --> 00:17:53 there were
00:17:53 --> 00:17:53 a tool
00:17:53 --> 00:17:55 of judgment
00:17:55 --> 00:17:56 upon Pharaoh
00:17:56 --> 00:17:57 and Egypt
00:17:57 --> 00:17:58 for rebellions
00:17:58 --> 00:17:59 against God
00:17:59 --> 00:18:00 and the abuse
00:18:00 --> 00:18:01 of God's people.
00:18:03 --> 00:18:04 Secondly,
00:18:04 --> 00:18:05 they are tools
00:18:05 --> 00:18:06 of authentication.
00:18:07 --> 00:18:08 They often serve
00:18:08 --> 00:18:09 to validate
00:18:09 --> 00:18:10 an authenticated
00:18:10 --> 00:18:11 message
00:18:11 --> 00:18:12 of God's messages.
00:18:14 --> 00:18:14 The plates
00:18:14 --> 00:18:16 conveyed to Pharaoh
00:18:16 --> 00:18:16 that Moses
00:18:16 --> 00:18:17 that Moses
00:18:17 --> 00:18:18 was a representative
00:18:18 --> 00:18:19 of the Lord
00:18:19 --> 00:18:21 working with his authority.
00:18:22 --> 00:18:23 In the New Testament,
00:18:24 --> 00:18:25 Jesus also
00:18:25 --> 00:18:27 used signs and wonders
00:18:27 --> 00:18:28 to authenticate
00:18:28 --> 00:18:29 his roles
00:18:29 --> 00:18:29 as a savior
00:18:29 --> 00:18:31 and confirm
00:18:31 --> 00:18:32 his divinity.
00:18:33 --> 00:18:35 The third purpose
00:18:35 --> 00:18:37 of the signs and wonders
00:18:37 --> 00:18:37 is they point
00:18:37 --> 00:18:38 beyond themselves
00:18:38 --> 00:18:40 to a more
00:18:40 --> 00:18:41 significant truth.
00:18:42 --> 00:18:42 The plates
00:18:42 --> 00:18:43 immediately
00:18:43 --> 00:18:45 revealed God's power.
00:18:45 --> 00:18:46 They answered
00:18:46 --> 00:18:47 Pharaoh's declaration
00:18:47 --> 00:18:48 back in 5,
00:18:48 --> 00:18:49 verse 2
00:18:49 --> 00:18:50 that he did not
00:18:50 --> 00:18:50 know the God
00:18:50 --> 00:18:51 of Israel.
00:18:53 --> 00:18:55 Between 5 to
00:18:55 --> 00:18:58 chapter 11,
00:18:58 --> 00:18:59 God declared
00:18:59 --> 00:19:00 numerous times
00:19:00 --> 00:19:01 that the purpose
00:19:01 --> 00:19:02 of his action
00:19:02 --> 00:19:03 are so that
00:19:03 --> 00:19:04 Pharaoh and Egypt
00:19:04 --> 00:19:05 would know the Lord.
00:19:06 --> 00:19:07 Those references
00:19:07 --> 00:19:08 are shown
00:19:08 --> 00:19:09 on the screen.
00:19:10 --> 00:19:10 In all these
00:19:10 --> 00:19:11 chapters
00:19:11 --> 00:19:13 in each of the plates,
00:19:13 --> 00:19:15 God constantly
00:19:15 --> 00:19:15 repeats,
00:19:16 --> 00:19:17 you will know
00:19:17 --> 00:19:18 that I am the Lord.
00:19:19 --> 00:19:20 They also point
00:19:20 --> 00:19:20 beyond this
00:19:20 --> 00:19:21 immediate event
00:19:21 --> 00:19:23 to a greater truth
00:19:23 --> 00:19:24 about God's patience
00:19:24 --> 00:19:25 and not wanting
00:19:25 --> 00:19:27 anyone to perish
00:19:27 --> 00:19:27 but to come
00:19:27 --> 00:19:28 to repentance.
00:19:30 --> 00:19:31 God is powerful
00:19:31 --> 00:19:32 and is a God
00:19:32 --> 00:19:33 of mercy
00:19:33 --> 00:19:34 and salvation.
00:19:36 --> 00:19:36 All these chapters
00:19:36 --> 00:19:38 are God's
00:19:38 --> 00:19:39 revealing himself.
00:19:40 --> 00:19:40 The purpose
00:19:40 --> 00:19:41 of the plate
00:19:41 --> 00:19:42 was to convey
00:19:42 --> 00:19:42 the knowledge
00:19:42 --> 00:19:43 of God
00:19:43 --> 00:19:44 not simply
00:19:44 --> 00:19:45 to Egypt
00:19:45 --> 00:19:46 or Israel
00:19:46 --> 00:19:47 but the world.
00:19:49 --> 00:19:50 Later in chapter
00:19:50 --> 00:19:51 34 of Exodus,
00:19:52 --> 00:19:53 it refers to God
00:19:53 --> 00:19:54 as a compassionate
00:19:54 --> 00:19:56 and merciful,
00:19:57 --> 00:19:58 slow to anger,
00:19:59 --> 00:20:01 lavish unfailing love
00:20:01 --> 00:20:02 to a thousand generations
00:20:02 --> 00:20:05 and forgiving wickedness,
00:20:05 --> 00:20:06 rebellions and sin.
00:20:07 --> 00:20:08 Yet,
00:20:08 --> 00:20:09 he does not leave
00:20:09 --> 00:20:11 the guilty unpunished.
00:20:12 --> 00:20:13 God is patient
00:20:13 --> 00:20:15 in his application
00:20:15 --> 00:20:16 of judgment.
00:20:17 --> 00:20:18 His compassion
00:20:18 --> 00:20:19 and mercy
00:20:19 --> 00:20:20 are demonstrated
00:20:20 --> 00:20:21 because he did not
00:20:21 --> 00:20:22 send down
00:20:22 --> 00:20:23 the full force
00:20:23 --> 00:20:24 of his plate
00:20:24 --> 00:20:25 until the seventh plate
00:20:25 --> 00:20:27 which he said
00:20:27 --> 00:20:29 in chapter 9,
00:20:29 --> 00:20:29 verse 15
00:20:29 --> 00:20:31 will wipe
00:20:31 --> 00:20:33 Pharaoh
00:20:33 --> 00:20:33 and Egypt
00:20:33 --> 00:20:34 off the earth.
00:20:35 --> 00:20:36 But before he does so,
00:20:37 --> 00:20:38 he said in verse 19,
00:20:39 --> 00:20:40 keep an order now
00:20:40 --> 00:20:42 to bring your livestock
00:20:42 --> 00:20:42 and everything
00:20:42 --> 00:20:44 you have in the field
00:20:44 --> 00:20:45 to a place
00:20:45 --> 00:20:45 of shelter
00:20:45 --> 00:20:47 because the hell
00:20:47 --> 00:20:48 will fall
00:20:48 --> 00:20:49 on every person
00:20:49 --> 00:20:50 and the animal
00:20:50 --> 00:20:51 that has not
00:20:51 --> 00:20:52 been brought in
00:20:52 --> 00:20:54 and is still
00:20:54 --> 00:20:55 out in the field
00:20:55 --> 00:20:56 and they will die.
00:20:59 --> 00:20:59 Pharaoh
00:20:59 --> 00:21:00 has shown
00:21:00 --> 00:21:01 no regards
00:21:01 --> 00:21:02 for the suffering
00:21:02 --> 00:21:03 of his people
00:21:03 --> 00:21:04 for six plates,
00:21:05 --> 00:21:06 repeatedly rebelling
00:21:06 --> 00:21:07 against God.
00:21:08 --> 00:21:09 This plate
00:21:09 --> 00:21:09 will take
00:21:09 --> 00:21:10 human life
00:21:10 --> 00:21:12 and the correct
00:21:12 --> 00:21:12 response
00:21:12 --> 00:21:13 means life
00:21:13 --> 00:21:14 and death.
00:21:15 --> 00:21:16 And what was
00:21:16 --> 00:21:17 the response
00:21:17 --> 00:21:17 of the people
00:21:17 --> 00:21:18 at a time?
00:21:18 --> 00:21:19 Let's look at
00:21:19 --> 00:21:20 verse 20
00:21:20 --> 00:21:21 of chapter 9.
00:21:23 --> 00:21:24 Those officials
00:21:24 --> 00:21:25 of Pharaoh
00:21:25 --> 00:21:26 who fear
00:21:26 --> 00:21:26 the word
00:21:26 --> 00:21:27 of the Lord
00:21:27 --> 00:21:27 hurry
00:21:27 --> 00:21:28 to bring
00:21:28 --> 00:21:29 their slave
00:21:29 --> 00:21:30 and livestock
00:21:30 --> 00:21:31 inside,
00:21:31 --> 00:21:32 but those
00:21:32 --> 00:21:32 who ignore
00:21:32 --> 00:21:33 the word of God
00:21:33 --> 00:21:35 left their slave
00:21:35 --> 00:21:35 and livestock
00:21:35 --> 00:21:36 in the field.
00:21:38 --> 00:21:39 God provides
00:21:39 --> 00:21:40 Pharaoh
00:21:40 --> 00:21:41 and the Egyptians
00:21:41 --> 00:21:42 with ten plates
00:21:42 --> 00:21:43 to spark
00:21:43 --> 00:21:44 repentance
00:21:44 --> 00:21:44 in them.
00:21:45 --> 00:21:46 Those that God
00:21:46 --> 00:21:47 have chosen
00:21:47 --> 00:21:48 to show
00:21:48 --> 00:21:48 mercy
00:21:48 --> 00:21:49 respond
00:21:49 --> 00:21:50 accordingly
00:21:50 --> 00:21:51 and were saved
00:21:51 --> 00:21:53 and those
00:21:53 --> 00:21:54 refuse to hear
00:21:54 --> 00:21:55 the repeated
00:21:55 --> 00:21:56 warning
00:21:56 --> 00:21:56 and upset.
00:21:58 --> 00:21:58 God's
00:21:58 --> 00:21:59 patience
00:21:59 --> 00:22:00 and mercy
00:22:00 --> 00:22:01 are sharply
00:22:01 --> 00:22:03 contrasted
00:22:03 --> 00:22:03 and revealed
00:22:03 --> 00:22:05 by the stubbornness
00:22:05 --> 00:22:06 and cruelty
00:22:06 --> 00:22:06 of Pharaoh
00:22:06 --> 00:22:07 and his officials.
00:22:09 --> 00:22:09 The plates
00:22:09 --> 00:22:10 reveal that
00:22:10 --> 00:22:11 God is
00:22:11 --> 00:22:11 patiently
00:22:11 --> 00:22:12 merciful,
00:22:12 --> 00:22:14 but they
00:22:14 --> 00:22:15 also refuse
00:22:15 --> 00:22:15 a point
00:22:15 --> 00:22:17 of no return.
00:22:19 --> 00:22:19 This plate
00:22:19 --> 00:22:21 a comfort
00:22:21 --> 00:22:21 assurance
00:22:21 --> 00:22:22 for those
00:22:22 --> 00:22:23 who trust
00:22:23 --> 00:22:24 in God
00:22:24 --> 00:22:26 and horrific
00:22:26 --> 00:22:27 certainty
00:22:27 --> 00:22:28 of judgment
00:22:28 --> 00:22:29 for those
00:22:29 --> 00:22:30 who do not.
00:22:31 --> 00:22:32 In the gospel
00:22:32 --> 00:22:33 and the rest
00:22:33 --> 00:22:34 of the New Testament,
00:22:35 --> 00:22:35 the signs
00:22:35 --> 00:22:36 and wonders
00:22:36 --> 00:22:37 performed by Jesus
00:22:37 --> 00:22:39 and the gospel's
00:22:39 --> 00:22:40 very proclamation
00:22:40 --> 00:22:42 serve a similar
00:22:42 --> 00:22:44 ultimate purpose
00:22:44 --> 00:22:45 as the plates.
00:22:46 --> 00:22:47 The gospel,
00:22:47 --> 00:22:48 like the plates,
00:22:49 --> 00:22:50 serves simultaneously
00:22:50 --> 00:22:51 to assure those
00:22:51 --> 00:22:53 who feed the word
00:22:53 --> 00:22:54 of the Lord.
00:22:55 --> 00:22:55 Those who trust God
00:22:55 --> 00:22:57 for his saving power
00:22:57 --> 00:22:58 and took the right
00:22:58 --> 00:23:00 action to respond
00:23:00 --> 00:23:01 will have life.
00:23:02 --> 00:23:03 And remind those
00:23:03 --> 00:23:05 who ignore the word
00:23:05 --> 00:23:05 of the Lord
00:23:05 --> 00:23:06 that while
00:23:06 --> 00:23:08 God is patient,
00:23:08 --> 00:23:09 God will ultimately
00:23:09 --> 00:23:10 bring judgment
00:23:10 --> 00:23:11 upon those
00:23:11 --> 00:23:12 who reject
00:23:12 --> 00:23:13 Jesus Christ
00:23:13 --> 00:23:14 and fail to
00:23:14 --> 00:23:15 acknowledge
00:23:15 --> 00:23:16 what God is doing
00:23:16 --> 00:23:18 for and in
00:23:18 --> 00:23:18 their life.
00:23:19 --> 00:23:20 And at that time,
00:23:21 --> 00:23:22 only death
00:23:22 --> 00:23:22 remains.
00:23:25 --> 00:23:26 God said
00:23:26 --> 00:23:28 in chapter 9,
00:23:28 --> 00:23:28 16
00:23:28 --> 00:23:30 and chapter 10,
00:23:30 --> 00:23:31 verse 2,
00:23:32 --> 00:23:33 that one other
00:23:33 --> 00:23:34 purpose for
00:23:34 --> 00:23:34 these signs
00:23:34 --> 00:23:36 is to show
00:23:36 --> 00:23:37 that I may
00:23:37 --> 00:23:38 show you
00:23:38 --> 00:23:39 my power
00:23:39 --> 00:23:40 and that my name
00:23:40 --> 00:23:41 may be proclaimed
00:23:41 --> 00:23:42 in all the earth
00:23:42 --> 00:23:44 and that you
00:23:44 --> 00:23:44 may tell your
00:23:44 --> 00:23:45 children and
00:23:45 --> 00:23:46 your grandchildren
00:23:46 --> 00:23:47 how I dealt
00:23:47 --> 00:23:48 harshly with
00:23:48 --> 00:23:48 the Egyptians
00:23:48 --> 00:23:50 and how I performed
00:23:50 --> 00:23:50 my signs
00:23:50 --> 00:23:51 among them
00:23:51 --> 00:23:52 and that you
00:23:52 --> 00:23:53 may know
00:23:53 --> 00:23:53 that I am
00:23:53 --> 00:23:54 the Lord.
00:23:55 --> 00:23:56 What happened
00:23:56 --> 00:23:57 to Pharaoh
00:23:57 --> 00:23:57 and those
00:23:57 --> 00:23:58 Egyptians
00:23:58 --> 00:23:59 who ignored
00:23:59 --> 00:24:00 God's word
00:24:00 --> 00:24:02 were designed
00:24:02 --> 00:24:03 for the future
00:24:03 --> 00:24:04 proclamation
00:24:04 --> 00:24:05 that the God
00:24:05 --> 00:24:06 we learn
00:24:06 --> 00:24:06 from the Bible
00:24:06 --> 00:24:08 is the only
00:24:08 --> 00:24:09 true God
00:24:09 --> 00:24:10 the world's
00:24:10 --> 00:24:10 creator.
00:24:12 --> 00:24:13 Like many
00:24:13 --> 00:24:14 cultures of
00:24:14 --> 00:24:14 today,
00:24:15 --> 00:24:16 Pharaoh and
00:24:16 --> 00:24:16 the Egyptians
00:24:16 --> 00:24:17 believed in
00:24:17 --> 00:24:18 many gods,
00:24:19 --> 00:24:19 the sun gods,
00:24:20 --> 00:24:21 the river gods,
00:24:21 --> 00:24:22 the harvard gods.
00:24:23 --> 00:24:24 Pharaoh was
00:24:24 --> 00:24:25 seen as a
00:24:25 --> 00:24:25 son of gods
00:24:25 --> 00:24:27 so his
00:24:27 --> 00:24:28 issue was
00:24:28 --> 00:24:29 why should I
00:24:29 --> 00:24:29 listen to
00:24:29 --> 00:24:30 your God
00:24:30 --> 00:24:31 when I have
00:24:31 --> 00:24:32 got my
00:24:32 --> 00:24:32 gods of
00:24:32 --> 00:24:33 my own?
00:24:34 --> 00:24:34 He was
00:24:34 --> 00:24:34 saying,
00:24:35 --> 00:24:35 don't impose
00:24:35 --> 00:24:36 your belief
00:24:36 --> 00:24:36 on me.
00:24:38 --> 00:24:38 People are
00:24:38 --> 00:24:39 not offended
00:24:39 --> 00:24:40 if you tell
00:24:40 --> 00:24:41 them you
00:24:41 --> 00:24:41 are a
00:24:41 --> 00:24:41 Christian,
00:24:42 --> 00:24:43 choosing
00:24:43 --> 00:24:43 Christianity
00:24:43 --> 00:24:44 as a
00:24:44 --> 00:24:45 religion or
00:24:45 --> 00:24:46 spirituality
00:24:46 --> 00:24:48 as long
00:24:48 --> 00:24:49 as you
00:24:49 --> 00:24:49 do not
00:24:49 --> 00:24:49 proclaim
00:24:49 --> 00:24:50 that Jesus
00:24:50 --> 00:24:50 is the
00:24:50 --> 00:24:51 only way
00:24:51 --> 00:24:52 to God
00:24:52 --> 00:24:53 and only
00:24:53 --> 00:24:54 truth and
00:24:54 --> 00:24:54 relevant God.
00:24:55 --> 00:24:56 the place
00:24:56 --> 00:24:58 are God's
00:24:58 --> 00:24:58 ways of
00:24:58 --> 00:24:59 distinguishing
00:24:59 --> 00:25:00 himself as
00:25:00 --> 00:25:00 the only
00:25:00 --> 00:25:01 true God
00:25:01 --> 00:25:02 and only
00:25:02 --> 00:25:03 relevant God
00:25:03 --> 00:25:04 and declaring
00:25:04 --> 00:25:04 that he is
00:25:04 --> 00:25:05 the only God
00:25:05 --> 00:25:06 worth obeying.
00:25:08 --> 00:25:09 God defeated
00:25:09 --> 00:25:10 the gods of
00:25:10 --> 00:25:11 Egypt and
00:25:11 --> 00:25:12 the gods of
00:25:12 --> 00:25:13 our culture
00:25:13 --> 00:25:14 that believe
00:25:14 --> 00:25:15 all religions
00:25:15 --> 00:25:16 are valid.
00:25:17 --> 00:25:17 Everyone has
00:25:17 --> 00:25:18 a right to
00:25:18 --> 00:25:18 live how
00:25:18 --> 00:25:19 they like.
00:25:20 --> 00:25:21 Many people
00:25:21 --> 00:25:22 proclaim by
00:25:22 --> 00:25:23 their life
00:25:23 --> 00:25:24 choices that
00:25:24 --> 00:25:25 they are
00:25:25 --> 00:25:25 their own
00:25:25 --> 00:25:25 God.
00:25:25 --> 00:25:27 they
00:25:27 --> 00:25:27 determine
00:25:27 --> 00:25:28 who they
00:25:28 --> 00:25:29 are and
00:25:29 --> 00:25:29 how they
00:25:29 --> 00:25:30 will live
00:25:30 --> 00:25:30 their life.
00:25:32 --> 00:25:32 A lot
00:25:32 --> 00:25:33 of Christians
00:25:33 --> 00:25:34 also does
00:25:34 --> 00:25:34 the same.
00:25:35 --> 00:25:36 They
00:25:36 --> 00:25:36 choose
00:25:36 --> 00:25:37 when,
00:25:37 --> 00:25:37 where,
00:25:38 --> 00:25:38 and how
00:25:38 --> 00:25:39 they worship
00:25:39 --> 00:25:39 God,
00:25:40 --> 00:25:40 as if being
00:25:40 --> 00:25:41 a Christian
00:25:41 --> 00:25:41 is all
00:25:41 --> 00:25:42 about
00:25:42 --> 00:25:42 themselves.
00:25:43 --> 00:25:44 To them,
00:25:44 --> 00:25:45 the gathering
00:25:45 --> 00:25:46 of believers
00:25:46 --> 00:25:46 is nothing
00:25:46 --> 00:25:47 to do
00:25:47 --> 00:25:48 with mutual
00:25:48 --> 00:25:49 encouragement
00:25:49 --> 00:25:50 of one
00:25:50 --> 00:25:51 and others.
00:25:51 --> 00:25:51 others.
00:25:54 --> 00:25:55 Even
00:25:55 --> 00:25:55 being
00:25:55 --> 00:25:56 physically
00:25:56 --> 00:25:56 among
00:25:56 --> 00:25:57 believers,
00:25:58 --> 00:25:58 they will
00:25:58 --> 00:25:59 click in
00:25:59 --> 00:25:59 and click
00:25:59 --> 00:26:00 off without
00:26:00 --> 00:26:01 making any
00:26:01 --> 00:26:02 effort to
00:26:02 --> 00:26:05 interact or
00:26:05 --> 00:26:05 engage with
00:26:05 --> 00:26:06 one another.
00:26:06 --> 00:26:08 God's
00:26:08 --> 00:26:08 confession.
00:26:08 --> 00:26:09 They may
00:26:09 --> 00:26:09 confess they
00:26:09 --> 00:26:10 have sinned
00:26:10 --> 00:26:11 when the
00:26:11 --> 00:26:11 sufferings and
00:26:11 --> 00:26:13 consequences of
00:26:13 --> 00:26:14 sin come,
00:26:15 --> 00:26:16 but go on
00:26:16 --> 00:26:17 sinning when
00:26:17 --> 00:26:17 the suffering
00:26:17 --> 00:26:18 are taken
00:26:18 --> 00:26:18 away.
00:26:18 --> 00:26:21 but
00:26:21 --> 00:26:21 deciding to
00:26:21 --> 00:26:22 become a
00:26:22 --> 00:26:23 Christian
00:26:23 --> 00:26:24 was only
00:26:24 --> 00:26:25 the beginning.
00:26:26 --> 00:26:26 It matters
00:26:26 --> 00:26:27 how you
00:26:27 --> 00:26:28 are living
00:26:28 --> 00:26:29 and growing
00:26:29 --> 00:26:29 in your
00:26:29 --> 00:26:30 obedience to
00:26:30 --> 00:26:31 God's
00:26:31 --> 00:26:31 words.
00:26:32 --> 00:26:32 And more
00:26:32 --> 00:26:33 importantly,
00:26:34 --> 00:26:34 it's your
00:26:34 --> 00:26:35 motivation
00:26:35 --> 00:26:36 and your
00:26:36 --> 00:26:36 attitude
00:26:36 --> 00:26:38 behind those
00:26:38 --> 00:26:38 obedience.
00:26:41 --> 00:26:42 Jesus
00:26:42 --> 00:26:42 has
00:26:42 --> 00:26:43 come,
00:26:43 --> 00:26:44 has
00:26:44 --> 00:26:44 became
00:26:44 --> 00:26:45 the source
00:26:45 --> 00:26:46 of eternal
00:26:46 --> 00:26:47 salvation for
00:26:47 --> 00:26:48 all who
00:26:48 --> 00:26:48 obey him.
00:26:48 --> 00:26:49 him because
00:26:49 --> 00:26:50 he learned
00:26:50 --> 00:26:51 obedience from
00:26:51 --> 00:26:52 what he
00:26:52 --> 00:26:52 suffered.
00:26:53 --> 00:26:55 He suffered
00:26:55 --> 00:26:56 the rejection
00:26:56 --> 00:26:56 of man,
00:26:57 --> 00:26:57 he suffered
00:26:57 --> 00:26:58 the cross,
00:26:59 --> 00:26:59 and ultimately
00:26:59 --> 00:27:01 the rejection
00:27:01 --> 00:27:02 of God
00:27:02 --> 00:27:03 on the cross.
00:27:04 --> 00:27:05 By his
00:27:05 --> 00:27:06 death and
00:27:06 --> 00:27:06 resurrection,
00:27:07 --> 00:27:08 he bears
00:27:08 --> 00:27:09 the consequences
00:27:09 --> 00:27:10 and the
00:27:10 --> 00:27:11 punishment that
00:27:11 --> 00:27:12 our rebellion's
00:27:12 --> 00:27:13 stubborn
00:27:13 --> 00:27:14 hearts
00:27:14 --> 00:27:14 deserves.
00:27:16 --> 00:27:16 The
00:27:16 --> 00:27:16 resurrection
00:27:16 --> 00:27:17 of Jesus
00:27:17 --> 00:27:19 is the
00:27:19 --> 00:27:19 most
00:27:19 --> 00:27:19 excellent
00:27:19 --> 00:27:20 signs and
00:27:20 --> 00:27:21 wonder
00:27:21 --> 00:27:22 that God
00:27:22 --> 00:27:22 performed.
00:27:23 --> 00:27:24 It means
00:27:24 --> 00:27:25 to point us
00:27:25 --> 00:27:26 to the
00:27:26 --> 00:27:26 powerful and
00:27:26 --> 00:27:27 merciful God,
00:27:28 --> 00:27:29 to acknowledge
00:27:29 --> 00:27:30 his patience
00:27:30 --> 00:27:31 in dealing
00:27:31 --> 00:27:31 with us.
00:27:31 --> 00:27:33 not all
00:27:33 --> 00:27:35 people who
00:27:35 --> 00:27:35 have seen
00:27:35 --> 00:27:35 God's
00:27:35 --> 00:27:36 signs and
00:27:36 --> 00:27:36 wonder
00:27:36 --> 00:27:37 will end
00:27:37 --> 00:27:38 up believing
00:27:38 --> 00:27:38 and fear
00:27:38 --> 00:27:39 God.
00:27:40 --> 00:27:40 Many
00:27:40 --> 00:27:40 will
00:27:40 --> 00:27:41 choose
00:27:41 --> 00:27:42 to stay
00:27:42 --> 00:27:42 stubborn
00:27:42 --> 00:27:43 like
00:27:43 --> 00:27:43 lieutenant
00:27:43 --> 00:27:44 or
00:27:44 --> 00:27:45 another
00:27:45 --> 00:27:45 or
00:27:45 --> 00:27:46 Pharaoh
00:27:46 --> 00:27:47 and his
00:27:47 --> 00:27:48 officials.
00:27:49 --> 00:27:49 But to
00:27:49 --> 00:27:50 you who
00:27:50 --> 00:27:51 are here
00:27:51 --> 00:27:51 in prison
00:27:51 --> 00:27:52 today,
00:27:53 --> 00:27:54 because
00:27:54 --> 00:27:54 Jesus
00:27:54 --> 00:27:55 has fought
00:27:55 --> 00:27:56 for us
00:27:56 --> 00:27:56 and won,
00:27:57 --> 00:27:58 we no
00:27:58 --> 00:27:59 longer need to
00:27:59 --> 00:28:00 hide in the
00:28:00 --> 00:28:00 jungle of
00:28:00 --> 00:28:01 life.
00:28:02 --> 00:28:02 Today,
00:28:03 --> 00:28:04 God's
00:28:04 --> 00:28:04 word has
00:28:04 --> 00:28:05 come to
00:28:05 --> 00:28:06 you to
00:28:06 --> 00:28:07 relieve you
00:28:07 --> 00:28:07 and to
00:28:07 --> 00:28:08 order you
00:28:08 --> 00:28:08 to surrender.
00:28:09 --> 00:28:10 It
00:28:10 --> 00:28:10 proclaim to
00:28:10 --> 00:28:11 us the
00:28:11 --> 00:28:12 name of
00:28:12 --> 00:28:12 God is
00:28:12 --> 00:28:13 Jesus
00:28:13 --> 00:28:13 Christ.
00:28:15 --> 00:28:15 Hurry,
00:28:15 --> 00:28:16 today is
00:28:16 --> 00:28:16 your time
00:28:16 --> 00:28:17 to surrender
00:28:17 --> 00:28:18 and come
00:28:18 --> 00:28:19 inside Jesus
00:28:19 --> 00:28:20 to be
00:28:20 --> 00:28:20 saved.
00:28:21 --> 00:28:21 Don't
00:28:21 --> 00:28:22 stay out
00:28:22 --> 00:28:22 in the
00:28:22 --> 00:28:23 field and
00:28:23 --> 00:28:24 ignore God's
00:28:24 --> 00:28:24 word.
00:28:24 --> 00:28:24 Amen.
00:28:24 --> 00:28:24 Amen.
00:28:24 --> 00:28:24 Amen.
00:28:24 --> 00:28:24 Amen.
00:28:24 --> 00:28:25 Amen.
00:28:25 --> 00:28:25 Amen.
00:28:25 --> 00:28:25 Amen.
00:28:25 --> 00:28:25 Amen.
00:28:25 --> 00:28:26 Amen.
00:28:26 --> 00:28:26 Amen.
00:28:26 --> 00:28:26 Amen.
00:28:26 --> 00:28:26 Amen.
00:28:26 --> 00:28:26 Amen.
00:28:26 --> 00:28:26 Amen.
00:28:26 --> 00:28:27 Amen.
