Passage: Luke 10:25-42

00:00:00 --> 00:00:05 Good morning, everyone. I'd be grateful if you had your Bibles in front of you as we go through.
00:00:05 --> 00:00:11 We've got a variety of passages to jump into, but keep your fingers in both those passages, Luke 10, Ephesians 2,
00:00:11 --> 00:00:15 but also Romans 5, if you can get to there as well. That'd be great.
00:00:16 --> 00:00:24 Our purpose as a church is to treasure Jesus together for God's glory and the joy of all people.
00:00:24 --> 00:00:31 Okay. Values are the things that shape our behaviours and our attitude.
00:00:31 --> 00:00:38 That is, values are the ingredients of any culture that is formed.
00:00:39 --> 00:00:43 We've got seven core values that shape the culture that we're seeking to build here at St Paul's.
00:00:43 --> 00:00:49 And one of those values, as you often see declared around the place, is treasuring Jesus together.
00:00:50 --> 00:00:52 That value reads like this.
00:00:52 --> 00:01:04 Every member of St Paul's has been led individually by the Spirit of God to receive Jesus Christ as the Lord, Saviour and supreme treasure of their lives.
00:01:05 --> 00:01:11 The Holy Spirit gathers us from all the variety of our individual backgrounds and unites us together as one body in Christ.
00:01:11 --> 00:01:28 And so we believe that the people whom Jesus has called into relationship with himself from every tribe, language, nation and generation are his church and not an institution or a building.
00:01:28 --> 00:01:39 In an age of individualism, we value vigilance and accountability in treasuring Jesus together as his diverse people.
00:01:39 --> 00:01:53 Now, because all values like that result in aligned behaviours and attitudes,
00:01:54 --> 00:01:59 one of the things that I did in the early days was ensuring that the core value was not just a statement,
00:01:59 --> 00:02:09 but actually had lived out behaviours and attitudes so to ensure that we were actually aligning ourselves with that value.
00:02:09 --> 00:02:14 That is, whatever you value will result in how you behave.
00:02:16 --> 00:02:19 And so I want to reverse that and say, here's the behaviours that are associated with that value.
00:02:19 --> 00:02:23 And so I feel that out.
00:02:23 --> 00:02:29 And as a church, for instance, if we are saying that we're pursuing treasuring Jesus together,
00:02:29 --> 00:02:33 then making corporate worship a weekly priority is how one will behave.
00:02:34 --> 00:02:38 Treasuring Jesus together by engaging to watch over one another in love,
00:02:39 --> 00:02:42 remembering one another in prayer, aiding one another in sickness and distress,
00:02:42 --> 00:02:49 cultivating sympathy, Christian sympathy and joy, being courteous in our speech,
00:02:50 --> 00:02:57 being slow to take offence, slow to take offence, but always ready for reconciliation
00:02:57 --> 00:03:01 and mindful of the command of our Saviour to secure it without delay,
00:03:02 --> 00:03:07 welcoming people from every background, openness towards new people and the avoidance of clickiness,
00:03:07 --> 00:03:12 purging our lives of the sin that causes division.
00:03:15 --> 00:03:18 That value is why we're doing this series right now.
00:03:22 --> 00:03:25 Racism and ethnocentricity are hot topics in our society.
00:03:25 --> 00:03:26 They are politically charged topics.
00:03:27 --> 00:03:29 That's not the reason why we're doing this series.
00:03:29 --> 00:03:37 The reason we're doing this series, and I'm not here to sort out all the political issues in our society,
00:03:38 --> 00:03:41 I'm here to bring the authority of the Word of God to the people of God,
00:03:42 --> 00:03:48 to bear on us His people so that our life together here might reflect something of His glory
00:03:48 --> 00:03:54 and bring an element of hope and glory and joy and good to our neighbourhood.
00:03:54 --> 00:03:56 That's why the church has always existed.
00:03:56 --> 00:03:59 That's the purpose of this series.
00:04:02 --> 00:04:06 We cannot live out our core value of treasuring Jesus together
00:04:06 --> 00:04:12 if it's not also deeply connected to our core value of humble authenticity.
00:04:14 --> 00:04:20 Unless humility is worked out in our heart, we can never, ever achieve TJT.
00:04:20 --> 00:04:27 And so the issue for us in this series is whether we are growing together in humility.
00:04:28 --> 00:04:33 That means searching your heart, not other people's hearts.
00:04:34 --> 00:04:34 Your heart.
00:04:35 --> 00:04:37 Not my heart, your heart.
00:04:40 --> 00:04:43 Hearts humbled by the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
00:04:43 --> 00:04:45 And that's my task today.
00:04:45 --> 00:04:46 Let's pray.
00:04:46 --> 00:04:53 Gracious Father, as we delve into your Word, help us to see that your Word speaks first and foremost to the reader.
00:04:54 --> 00:04:55 And not to others.
00:04:57 --> 00:05:01 And so Lord, bring your Word into every heart, we pray this morning.
00:05:02 --> 00:05:02 Amen.
00:05:02 --> 00:05:11 We saw two weeks ago that one of the foundational biblical truths is that all people are equally made in the image of God.
00:05:11 --> 00:05:13 There's one race, the human race.
00:05:13 --> 00:05:19 There is a solidarity in the image of God and a royal dignity attached to every single human being.
00:05:20 --> 00:05:25 The bad news is we also have solidarity in sin, which is what we looked at last week.
00:05:25 --> 00:05:26 We have all rejected God.
00:05:26 --> 00:05:28 We've all got a broken image.
00:05:29 --> 00:05:34 And we have defiled the purpose of bringing glory to God as our creator.
00:05:35 --> 00:05:39 And there is no, there's not a hierarchy of some more sinful than others.
00:05:39 --> 00:05:47 And likewise, with this issue of racism and ethnocentricity, there's not a hierarchy of some more sinful than others.
00:05:49 --> 00:05:53 The solidarity in sin sets us up against God and against each other.
00:05:53 --> 00:05:59 The compasses of our hearts point inwardly towards us, not towards God and others.
00:05:59 --> 00:06:09 And sin means that we all have a default suspicion of other people because there is an innate desire to make the world and everything about me.
00:06:10 --> 00:06:10 About me.
00:06:13 --> 00:06:16 The Bible also gives us the good news.
00:06:16 --> 00:06:18 And I started with that last week.
00:06:18 --> 00:06:24 Abraham, Genesis 12, God's promise that through him all the nations will be blessed.
00:06:24 --> 00:06:32 And the biblical narrative builds from that moment in Genesis 12 and it finds us center in the person of Jesus Christ.
00:06:33 --> 00:06:35 And we've even declared that this morning.
00:06:36 --> 00:06:40 If you look at the worldview, I've been unlying in front of us.
00:06:40 --> 00:06:46 Even as we stood there and we declared from Colossians, he is the image of the invisible God.
00:06:46 --> 00:06:49 The exact representation of his being.
00:06:49 --> 00:06:56 And he came in to this world to bear sin.
00:06:59 --> 00:07:05 And in the biographies of Jesus' life, we see Jesus is constantly dealing with this issue of sin.
00:07:05 --> 00:07:11 And how it gets worked out even in the issue of ethnocentricity and racism.
00:07:11 --> 00:07:19 In fact, you often see in the biographies of Jesus, the hated foreigner is the recipient of God's blessing and the hero of his stories.
00:07:20 --> 00:07:20 It's remarkable.
00:07:22 --> 00:07:25 One of the best examples is what was just read out to us by the Fitzroy family.
00:07:25 --> 00:07:26 Thank you guys for that.
00:07:28 --> 00:07:30 The Good Samaritan Luke chapter 10.
00:07:30 --> 00:07:31 So go there if you like.
00:07:31 --> 00:07:32 In fact, not even if you don't like.
00:07:32 --> 00:07:34 It would be great if you did go there.
00:07:34 --> 00:07:36 I'm not actually asking for you.
00:07:36 --> 00:07:37 I just...
00:07:38 --> 00:07:39 Okay, let me just go there.
00:07:39 --> 00:07:39 Okay?
00:07:41 --> 00:07:43 Verse 25.
00:07:44 --> 00:07:54 A lawyer, a Jewish lawyer, asked Jesus what he must do to receive eternal life.
00:07:56 --> 00:08:01 And Jesus asked him what he thought the law said about that.
00:08:01 --> 00:08:05 And his reply is, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind.
00:08:06 --> 00:08:07 And love your neighbor as yourself.
00:08:07 --> 00:08:10 And Jesus says, yeah, that's right.
00:08:10 --> 00:08:11 Go and do that.
00:08:13 --> 00:08:13 Go and do that.
00:08:16 --> 00:08:17 But verse 29.
00:08:18 --> 00:08:22 He wanted to justify himself.
00:08:22 --> 00:08:29 And so he asked Jesus, yeah, but, you know, who is my neighbor actually?
00:08:30 --> 00:08:31 Who really is my neighbor?
00:08:32 --> 00:08:34 He's looking to justify himself.
00:08:34 --> 00:08:41 He's looking for Jesus to affirm that his thinking and his actions are righteous.
00:08:41 --> 00:08:46 He's looking to limit who my neighbor is.
00:08:46 --> 00:08:48 So in order to fulfill the law.
00:08:49 --> 00:08:57 You see, the Jews of Jesus' time interpreted, and he's a lawyer here, he is a legal lawyer, in terms of the law, the Old Testament law.
00:08:57 --> 00:09:08 They interpreted neighbor of this command from Leviticus 19 verse 18 to mean fellow Jews.
00:09:10 --> 00:09:11 That's what it means, your fellow Jews.
00:09:12 --> 00:09:21 And at a stretch, it may have included foreigners who were permitted residence and contributed to their corporate life.
00:09:21 --> 00:09:24 But it certainly didn't include anyone else.
00:09:26 --> 00:09:32 And then so Jesus pipes up and tells a story to his mainly Jewish audience.
00:09:34 --> 00:09:41 And it's possibly the most socially charged story that Jesus ever tells.
00:09:43 --> 00:09:45 He's telling it with his disciples.
00:09:46 --> 00:09:47 They're with him there at the moment.
00:09:47 --> 00:09:52 And if you know anything about Luke 10, preceding Luke 10 is Luke 9.
00:09:54 --> 00:09:58 And the gospel's just been rejected in Samaria.
00:09:59 --> 00:10:02 His disciples have just walked out from Samaria.
00:10:03 --> 00:10:04 Jewish guys.
00:10:04 --> 00:10:06 And so it's charged for them right now.
00:10:06 --> 00:10:07 We've just been rejected.
00:10:07 --> 00:10:10 You've just been rejected in Samaria, Jesus.
00:10:11 --> 00:10:13 And then Jesus tells this story.
00:10:14 --> 00:10:17 He says, this guy traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho.
00:10:18 --> 00:10:20 We are to assume that the man is a Jewish man.
00:10:21 --> 00:10:25 It's a main road that would have traveled by lots of people and Jewish people.
00:10:26 --> 00:10:28 This man gets robbed, stripped, beaten, left for dead.
00:10:29 --> 00:10:33 And by chance, a Jewish priest comes wandering by.
00:10:34 --> 00:10:35 This is the Jewish pastor.
00:10:36 --> 00:10:38 Surely he's going to help him.
00:10:38 --> 00:10:40 But no.
00:10:40 --> 00:10:45 The priest couldn't be bothered.
00:10:45 --> 00:10:47 He walks on the other side of the street.
00:10:48 --> 00:10:49 He didn't want to get near him.
00:10:49 --> 00:10:55 Jesus goes on and says, now a Levite comes by.
00:10:55 --> 00:11:00 Again, you would think that this fellow Jew would help.
00:11:01 --> 00:11:02 Can't be bothered.
00:11:02 --> 00:11:03 Also walks by.
00:11:03 --> 00:11:09 And then Jesus says, along comes a Samaritan.
00:11:10 --> 00:11:14 Bearing in mind that the Samaritan hated Jesus too.
00:11:16 --> 00:11:17 And Jesus says, along comes a Samaritan.
00:11:19 --> 00:11:23 And you can guarantee in the crowd at this moment, there's a Samaritan?
00:11:25 --> 00:11:27 What's a Samaritan doing in the story?
00:11:27 --> 00:11:36 Jewish and Samaritan Christians ran deep over a long period of time.
00:11:37 --> 00:11:38 Samaritans were despised.
00:11:39 --> 00:11:41 They were not to be associated with.
00:11:42 --> 00:11:47 By the time of Jesus, the animosity between them had been growing for several hundred years
00:11:47 --> 00:11:52 and had overflowed in explosive violence in the first century.
00:11:57 --> 00:12:00 What's Samaritan doing here, Jesus?
00:12:03 --> 00:12:04 And he's the hero.
00:12:06 --> 00:12:08 He sees the injured Jew on the side of the road.
00:12:09 --> 00:12:11 He goes over to him and has compassion on him.
00:12:11 --> 00:12:12 Cleans him up.
00:12:12 --> 00:12:13 Treats his wounds.
00:12:13 --> 00:12:14 Puts him on his donkey.
00:12:14 --> 00:12:16 Takes him to the local motel.
00:12:16 --> 00:12:17 Checks him in.
00:12:17 --> 00:12:18 Hands over his credit card.
00:12:18 --> 00:12:21 Says, I'll fix up every expense when I get back.
00:12:23 --> 00:12:26 By the time Jesus is done with this story, the Jewish jaws are on the ground.
00:12:27 --> 00:12:28 Imagine the impact.
00:12:29 --> 00:12:30 A Samaritan?
00:12:30 --> 00:12:30 Hero?
00:12:31 --> 00:12:32 That's unthinkable.
00:12:37 --> 00:12:42 Reclaim Australia is a far-right Australian nationalistic protest group,
00:12:43 --> 00:12:50 which primarily opposes the practice of Islam in Australia.
00:12:50 --> 00:12:53 It opposes a number of things, but primarily Islam in Australia.
00:12:53 --> 00:13:01 It has organised, you're probably aware, several protest rallies in major cities across the country over the recent years.
00:13:03 --> 00:13:13 To give you a flavour, one speaker at a protest rally in South Australia warned of the risk of Islamic barbarity in our country
00:13:13 --> 00:13:22 and encouraged those in attendance to insult and to vilify Islam five times a day if you want to.
00:13:24 --> 00:13:26 That just gives you a flavour.
00:13:26 --> 00:13:32 So imagine the response if I am a speaker.
00:13:32 --> 00:13:35 I've been invited along to come to Reclaim Australia at one of their rallies,
00:13:35 --> 00:13:41 and I get up and I tell the story of an injured SAS trooper in Afghanistan.
00:13:43 --> 00:13:47 Blown up by a roadside bomb, lying there, dying.
00:13:47 --> 00:13:52 An Australian medic comes along, sees him, and walks straight past him.
00:13:54 --> 00:13:59 Then an Australian military chaplain pretends not to see him.
00:13:59 --> 00:14:06 And then coming to our Australian SAS trooper's aide as an ISIS fighter.
00:14:07 --> 00:14:12 Treats him of his wounds, takes him to a clinic, pays for all his expenses,
00:14:12 --> 00:14:15 including paying for his military pension for his family.
00:14:19 --> 00:14:21 Do you think I'm going to get invited back?
00:14:21 --> 00:14:28 Jesus says to this lawyer, do that.
00:14:30 --> 00:14:30 Do that.
00:14:31 --> 00:14:35 Treat your worst enemy like that.
00:14:38 --> 00:14:43 Now remember, this goes back to the question, the original question of what the lawyer,
00:14:44 --> 00:14:47 how might I get eternal life?
00:14:47 --> 00:14:51 And so when Jesus says, hey, just do that,
00:14:53 --> 00:14:56 he's not saying, give that a try, have a crack at that and see how it works for you.
00:14:58 --> 00:15:00 Make sure that your good acts overweigh your bad acts.
00:15:01 --> 00:15:03 He's actually saying, do that all the time.
00:15:04 --> 00:15:10 Get your worst enemy and treat them like they are your most loved friend.
00:15:11 --> 00:15:12 Do that all the time.
00:15:12 --> 00:15:16 Live and act and love and serve and think and sacrifice like the good Samaritan,
00:15:16 --> 00:15:21 100% of the time, all the time for your worst enemy.
00:15:22 --> 00:15:26 Then you can start thinking about confidence with eternal life.
00:15:28 --> 00:15:34 Go and love and serve and sacrifice people who belittle you, curse you,
00:15:34 --> 00:15:38 marginalize you, ridicule you, hate you, berate you, ignore you, demean you,
00:15:38 --> 00:15:41 racially profile you and would even kill you.
00:15:41 --> 00:15:41 Do that.
00:15:44 --> 00:15:45 And that's the end of the story.
00:15:46 --> 00:15:48 That's the end of it.
00:15:50 --> 00:15:52 Go and do likewise.
00:15:54 --> 00:15:56 And so is the answer of eternal life,
00:15:56 --> 00:15:59 but also the answer to racial division in our world.
00:15:59 --> 00:16:00 Just try harder.
00:16:00 --> 00:16:06 That's why C.K.
00:16:06 --> 00:16:11 Chesterton once said that Christianity has not been tried and found wanting.
00:16:11 --> 00:16:13 It's been found difficult and left untried.
00:16:13 --> 00:16:21 Now Luke was inspired by God to write what comes next.
00:16:22 --> 00:16:26 One scene ends with a lawyer and the next is in a living room with two sisters.
00:16:27 --> 00:16:33 Martha is busy making stuff happen while Mary is making it, taking it easy at the feet of Jesus.
00:16:33 --> 00:16:40 Martha storms into the living room and tries to get Mary up off her feet from Jesus' feet,
00:16:41 --> 00:16:42 come over here and help me in the kitchen.
00:16:42 --> 00:16:46 And in short, Jesus' response to Martha is,
00:16:47 --> 00:16:51 no, I'm not going to get her to move at all.
00:16:53 --> 00:16:54 Let me cut to the chase here.
00:16:54 --> 00:17:01 Without going all the details of the Mary Martha story,
00:17:02 --> 00:17:08 which sister in this instance looks most like the good Samaritan?
00:17:12 --> 00:17:13 Martha does.
00:17:14 --> 00:17:15 Martha does.
00:17:16 --> 00:17:17 Not Mary.
00:17:17 --> 00:17:19 She's sitting there doing nothing.
00:17:20 --> 00:17:21 Martha's busy doing stuff.
00:17:21 --> 00:17:24 And Mary is sitting there at the feet of Jesus.
00:17:24 --> 00:17:26 Mary looks like a bad Samaritan.
00:17:26 --> 00:17:28 She looks like you're doing nothing, Samaritan.
00:17:29 --> 00:17:32 And Martha is going and doing and serving and preparing and Mary's doing nothing.
00:17:33 --> 00:17:34 She's just sitting at Jesus' feet.
00:17:35 --> 00:17:42 And I think the lawyer should have responded at the end of that story with the go and do likewise.
00:17:42 --> 00:17:43 He should have said,
00:17:44 --> 00:17:47 I can't do that, Jesus.
00:17:48 --> 00:17:50 I can't do that, Jesus.
00:17:51 --> 00:17:55 And Jesus would have said,
00:17:55 --> 00:17:55 yeah, I know.
00:17:57 --> 00:17:57 I know.
00:17:59 --> 00:18:04 You need to sit at my feet and look to me.
00:18:07 --> 00:18:09 You need to trust me.
00:18:10 --> 00:18:11 You see, the problem of sin,
00:18:12 --> 00:18:13 self-centered hearts,
00:18:13 --> 00:18:15 means that none of us can do it.
00:18:15 --> 00:18:22 That's my point from last week.
00:18:24 --> 00:18:25 Don't make it a political issue.
00:18:26 --> 00:18:27 Make it a heart issue.
00:18:31 --> 00:18:33 The problem is our heart,
00:18:33 --> 00:18:35 not primarily our behaviors and our attitudes.
00:18:35 --> 00:18:45 We need someone to treat us so comprehensively as we don't deserve that our broken image is restored,
00:18:45 --> 00:18:45 renewed,
00:18:46 --> 00:18:48 that it breaks our self-pride,
00:18:48 --> 00:18:48 confident pride,
00:18:49 --> 00:18:50 and grows us in humility.
00:18:50 --> 00:18:54 We all need a good Samaritan.
00:18:55 --> 00:19:01 To intervene because we can't heal the broken hearts,
00:19:01 --> 00:19:02 our broken hearts ourselves.
00:19:02 --> 00:19:03 We are dead.
00:19:03 --> 00:19:04 We're not unconscious.
00:19:05 --> 00:19:09 We are dead on the road in our sins and our transgressions.
00:19:09 --> 00:19:14 And Romans 5 leads me,
00:19:14 --> 00:19:16 so we looked at it last week,
00:19:16 --> 00:19:21 Romans 5 leads me to believe that Jesus is the good Samaritan who does what we cannot do.
00:19:23 --> 00:19:26 You and I are that man,
00:19:26 --> 00:19:27 that unnamed man,
00:19:28 --> 00:19:31 beaten and bruised and robbed and left for dead.
00:19:31 --> 00:19:32 We are,
00:19:32 --> 00:19:33 that's us spiritually,
00:19:33 --> 00:19:34 not just left for dead,
00:19:34 --> 00:19:35 we are dead spiritually.
00:19:35 --> 00:19:36 Ephesians 2,
00:19:36 --> 00:19:37 we just read it.
00:19:37 --> 00:19:38 We are cut off from God.
00:19:38 --> 00:19:40 We are dead in our transgressions and sins.
00:19:40 --> 00:19:43 We have no ability to resolve our biggest problem,
00:19:44 --> 00:19:44 sin.
00:19:44 --> 00:19:47 And that means the consequences of sin will continue,
00:19:48 --> 00:19:48 continue,
00:19:48 --> 00:19:51 continue to ravage our lives and our relationships.
00:19:56 --> 00:20:00 Now it may not seem fair that this is our state.
00:20:02 --> 00:20:08 When you look at the carnage of human history and racial genocide,
00:20:08 --> 00:20:11 and cancer and suffering and divorce and greed,
00:20:11 --> 00:20:14 and the fact that my weeds grow faster than my grass,
00:20:16 --> 00:20:19 it is so easy to get ticked off with Adam,
00:20:20 --> 00:20:20 to judge Adam.
00:20:22 --> 00:20:23 What were you thinking,
00:20:23 --> 00:20:23 Adam?
00:20:24 --> 00:20:25 My goodness,
00:20:25 --> 00:20:27 you had the Garden of Eden,
00:20:27 --> 00:20:28 you walked and talked with God.
00:20:28 --> 00:20:28 He said,
00:20:28 --> 00:20:30 just don't touch the apple.
00:20:31 --> 00:20:32 It wasn't really an apple,
00:20:33 --> 00:20:33 but just don't touch it.
00:20:36 --> 00:20:37 What were you thinking?
00:20:41 --> 00:20:44 God picks this champion to be the head of humanity,
00:20:44 --> 00:20:46 and he blows it.
00:20:47 --> 00:20:48 And ever since then,
00:20:48 --> 00:20:48 he blew it,
00:20:48 --> 00:20:49 ever since he blew it,
00:20:49 --> 00:20:51 our lives have been messed up.
00:20:51 --> 00:20:56 But there is something in all of us that says that's so radically unfair.
00:20:57 --> 00:20:58 It feels unfair,
00:20:58 --> 00:21:01 even though we join him in his choices every moment of every day.
00:21:03 --> 00:21:04 And God understands that.
00:21:05 --> 00:21:06 He understands that.
00:21:08 --> 00:21:09 And so if you look at Romans 5,
00:21:10 --> 00:21:14 what we see here is that he picks another champion for the human race,
00:21:14 --> 00:21:20 to do that which is unfair to him.
00:21:22 --> 00:21:23 To him.
00:21:25 --> 00:21:27 At the cost of his own life,
00:21:28 --> 00:21:30 God reconciles us to himself,
00:21:31 --> 00:21:32 his worst enemies.
00:21:33 --> 00:21:34 Romans 5.
00:21:35 --> 00:21:35 You see,
00:21:35 --> 00:21:37 at just the right time,
00:21:37 --> 00:21:39 when we were still powerless,
00:21:40 --> 00:21:42 Christ died for the ungodly.
00:21:42 --> 00:21:47 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man,
00:21:47 --> 00:21:49 though for a good man,
00:21:49 --> 00:21:51 someone might possibly dare to die.
00:21:52 --> 00:21:55 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this.
00:21:56 --> 00:21:57 Why we were still sinners,
00:21:58 --> 00:22:02 Christ died for us.
00:22:04 --> 00:22:07 The man beaten on the road represents us in our sin.
00:22:08 --> 00:22:09 The good Samaritan is Jesus,
00:22:09 --> 00:22:13 who treats us in a way that we don't ever deserve because of our sin.
00:22:14 --> 00:22:15 He's great enemies.
00:22:16 --> 00:22:19 He treats us in a way that we don't deserve.
00:22:19 --> 00:22:21 And how does he do that?
00:22:21 --> 00:22:22 What does he do?
00:22:24 --> 00:22:26 He trades places with us on the road.
00:22:29 --> 00:22:31 He allows himself to be robbed,
00:22:32 --> 00:22:32 beaten,
00:22:33 --> 00:22:33 and killed.
00:22:33 --> 00:22:38 He was nailed to the cross as an enemy of the people
00:22:38 --> 00:22:41 so that we can be made friends with God and each other.
00:22:43 --> 00:22:44 Consequently,
00:22:44 --> 00:22:49 just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all people,
00:22:49 --> 00:22:52 so also the result of one act of righteousness
00:22:52 --> 00:22:56 was justification that brings life to all people.
00:22:56 --> 00:23:00 For just as through the disobedience of the one man,
00:23:00 --> 00:23:02 the many were made sinners,
00:23:02 --> 00:23:05 so also through the obedience of the one man,
00:23:05 --> 00:23:07 the many will be made righteous.
00:23:09 --> 00:23:10 What a text.
00:23:11 --> 00:23:15 Everybody on this planet
00:23:15 --> 00:23:16 who's ever put two feet,
00:23:16 --> 00:23:17 or one foot,
00:23:17 --> 00:23:18 or any feet on this planet
00:23:18 --> 00:23:20 is in that text.
00:23:20 --> 00:23:24 Because Adam was the father of everybody,
00:23:24 --> 00:23:27 and therefore every person you meet of any ethnicity
00:23:27 --> 00:23:29 is facing what that text talks about.
00:23:30 --> 00:23:31 Death in Adam,
00:23:32 --> 00:23:33 life in Christ.
00:23:35 --> 00:23:36 That's a global text.
00:23:37 --> 00:23:38 Don't miss that.
00:23:38 --> 00:23:41 This is the defining reality
00:23:41 --> 00:23:45 of every single person you will ever meet.
00:23:46 --> 00:23:48 This is not a wimpy worldview.
00:23:48 --> 00:23:52 It stretches over all of history,
00:23:52 --> 00:23:54 over the entire world,
00:23:54 --> 00:23:55 for every individual.
00:23:55 --> 00:23:59 It profoundly affects every person in this world,
00:23:59 --> 00:24:01 and every headline on the internet.
00:24:03 --> 00:24:06 The spectacular sin of Adam
00:24:06 --> 00:24:08 is not as great
00:24:08 --> 00:24:11 as the spectacular grace and obedience
00:24:11 --> 00:24:13 of Jesus Christ
00:24:13 --> 00:24:14 and the gift of eternal life.
00:24:14 --> 00:24:19 These words here in Romans 5
00:24:19 --> 00:24:21 are precious words for sinners.
00:24:23 --> 00:24:24 The grace is free.
00:24:25 --> 00:24:27 The gift is free.
00:24:27 --> 00:24:29 The righteousness of Christ is free.
00:24:33 --> 00:24:35 And so I want to appeal to you all online
00:24:35 --> 00:24:36 in this room.
00:24:36 --> 00:24:40 Will you receive it
00:24:40 --> 00:24:43 as the hope and the treasure of your life?
00:24:45 --> 00:24:46 If you do,
00:24:47 --> 00:24:50 you will reign in life
00:24:50 --> 00:24:51 through the one man,
00:24:51 --> 00:24:52 Jesus Christ,
00:24:52 --> 00:24:54 and so receive it now.
00:24:57 --> 00:24:59 And what we see here
00:24:59 --> 00:25:01 is that what Jesus has done for us
00:25:01 --> 00:25:04 can have a profound impact
00:25:04 --> 00:25:04 on our life
00:25:04 --> 00:25:06 and our life together.
00:25:07 --> 00:25:08 Ephesians 2,
00:25:09 --> 00:25:10 which outlines the fact
00:25:10 --> 00:25:11 that we are sinners
00:25:11 --> 00:25:13 made right in God's eyes,
00:25:13 --> 00:25:15 then moves on
00:25:15 --> 00:25:17 into a description
00:25:17 --> 00:25:18 of the division
00:25:18 --> 00:25:19 between Jews and Gentiles.
00:25:21 --> 00:25:21 And then
00:25:21 --> 00:25:24 in verse 19 to 22,
00:25:25 --> 00:25:26 there's a description
00:25:26 --> 00:25:27 of the reconciliation
00:25:27 --> 00:25:30 between Jew and Gentile.
00:25:30 --> 00:25:31 Now keep in mind here
00:25:31 --> 00:25:32 that the division
00:25:32 --> 00:25:33 between Jews and Gentile
00:25:33 --> 00:25:35 was not small,
00:25:35 --> 00:25:36 it wasn't simple,
00:25:37 --> 00:25:38 and it wasn't shallow.
00:25:39 --> 00:25:40 It was huge,
00:25:40 --> 00:25:41 complex,
00:25:41 --> 00:25:41 and deep,
00:25:42 --> 00:25:43 had a very long history,
00:25:43 --> 00:25:44 and it was bloody.
00:25:46 --> 00:25:47 It was religious,
00:25:48 --> 00:25:49 it was cultural,
00:25:49 --> 00:25:49 social,
00:25:50 --> 00:25:51 and it was racial.
00:25:54 --> 00:25:55 The divide here
00:25:55 --> 00:25:57 was as big
00:25:57 --> 00:25:58 or bigger
00:25:58 --> 00:26:00 than any divide
00:26:00 --> 00:26:02 that we face today.
00:26:06 --> 00:26:08 And so what happened?
00:26:08 --> 00:26:09 What happened
00:26:09 --> 00:26:11 between verses 11 and 12
00:26:11 --> 00:26:12 of Ephesians 2
00:26:12 --> 00:26:14 and verses 19 and 22
00:26:14 --> 00:26:16 of Ephesians 12?
00:26:16 --> 00:26:17 What happened?
00:26:20 --> 00:26:21 Jesus Christ,
00:26:21 --> 00:26:22 the Son of Christ,
00:26:22 --> 00:26:23 the Son of God,
00:26:23 --> 00:26:23 died.
00:26:24 --> 00:26:25 That's what happened.
00:26:25 --> 00:26:27 And he died by design.
00:26:27 --> 00:26:28 We see it in the word blood
00:26:28 --> 00:26:29 in verses,
00:26:29 --> 00:26:29 the second half,
00:26:29 --> 00:26:30 verse 13.
00:26:30 --> 00:26:31 You who formerly
00:26:31 --> 00:26:32 were far off
00:26:32 --> 00:26:33 have been brought near
00:26:33 --> 00:26:34 by the blood of Christ.
00:26:34 --> 00:26:35 We also see it in
00:26:35 --> 00:26:36 the word flesh
00:26:36 --> 00:26:38 in verse 15,
00:26:39 --> 00:26:41 abolishing in his flesh
00:26:41 --> 00:26:42 the enmity.
00:26:43 --> 00:26:44 And we see it in the word cross
00:26:44 --> 00:26:46 in verse 16,
00:26:46 --> 00:26:47 and might reconcile them
00:26:47 --> 00:26:49 both in one body
00:26:49 --> 00:26:50 to God
00:26:50 --> 00:26:51 through the cross.
00:26:51 --> 00:26:54 And the rest of this text
00:26:54 --> 00:26:55 here in Ephesians 2
00:26:55 --> 00:26:57 is Paul's explanation
00:26:57 --> 00:26:59 how the blood of Christ,
00:26:59 --> 00:27:01 his death in the flesh
00:27:01 --> 00:27:02 on the cross
00:27:02 --> 00:27:04 as the perfect image bearer
00:27:04 --> 00:27:05 of God
00:27:05 --> 00:27:06 bearing our sin
00:27:06 --> 00:27:08 removes the enmity
00:27:08 --> 00:27:10 between God and Jew,
00:27:12 --> 00:27:13 God and Gentile,
00:27:14 --> 00:27:15 Jew and Gentile.
00:27:15 --> 00:27:17 Therefore,
00:27:17 --> 00:27:18 by implication
00:27:18 --> 00:27:20 between every
00:27:20 --> 00:27:21 ethnic group,
00:27:22 --> 00:27:22 cultural group,
00:27:23 --> 00:27:24 political group
00:27:24 --> 00:27:25 of Christians
00:27:25 --> 00:27:26 who are in Christ,
00:27:27 --> 00:27:31 from many bloodlines
00:27:31 --> 00:27:32 and cultures
00:27:32 --> 00:27:34 through the blood of Christ
00:27:34 --> 00:27:35 on the cross,
00:27:36 --> 00:27:36 we are brought into
00:27:36 --> 00:27:37 one bloodline,
00:27:38 --> 00:27:39 his blood.
00:27:39 --> 00:27:39 God.
00:27:39 --> 00:27:44 God aims to create
00:27:44 --> 00:27:45 one new people
00:27:45 --> 00:27:45 in Christ
00:27:45 --> 00:27:47 who are reconciled
00:27:47 --> 00:27:48 to each other
00:27:48 --> 00:27:49 across racial
00:27:49 --> 00:27:50 and ethnic lines,
00:27:50 --> 00:27:50 no longer strangers,
00:27:51 --> 00:27:51 not aliens,
00:27:52 --> 00:27:53 no prejudice,
00:27:53 --> 00:27:54 no enmity.
00:27:54 --> 00:27:55 God ordained
00:27:55 --> 00:27:57 the death of his son
00:27:57 --> 00:27:58 to reconcile
00:27:58 --> 00:28:00 alien people groups
00:28:00 --> 00:28:01 to each other
00:28:01 --> 00:28:02 as one body
00:28:02 --> 00:28:04 in Christ.
00:28:04 --> 00:28:05 Christ died
00:28:05 --> 00:28:07 to take pride
00:28:07 --> 00:28:08 away from our hearts,
00:28:08 --> 00:28:09 which is what
00:28:09 --> 00:28:09 should have happened
00:28:09 --> 00:28:10 to that lawyer
00:28:10 --> 00:28:11 on that moment
00:28:11 --> 00:28:12 when Jesus
00:28:12 --> 00:28:13 was telling this story.
00:28:13 --> 00:28:14 This is about you
00:28:14 --> 00:28:15 and your heart.
00:28:15 --> 00:28:16 You cannot do this.
00:28:18 --> 00:28:19 You who are filled
00:28:19 --> 00:28:20 with pride,
00:28:21 --> 00:28:22 the gospel breaks it.
00:28:23 --> 00:28:25 Whatever your race,
00:28:25 --> 00:28:26 whatever your status,
00:28:26 --> 00:28:27 in Jesus,
00:28:28 --> 00:28:28 the gospel
00:28:28 --> 00:28:31 smashes any form
00:28:31 --> 00:28:31 of pride
00:28:31 --> 00:28:32 that we may have
00:28:32 --> 00:28:33 built up for ourselves.
00:28:34 --> 00:28:35 That's why our core value
00:28:35 --> 00:28:36 of humble authenticity
00:28:36 --> 00:28:37 is so,
00:28:37 --> 00:28:38 so central.
00:28:38 --> 00:28:39 for us.
00:28:41 --> 00:28:42 Racial and ethnic
00:28:42 --> 00:28:43 tensions
00:28:43 --> 00:28:45 are rife with pride.
00:28:45 --> 00:28:46 The pride
00:28:46 --> 00:28:47 of white supremacy,
00:28:47 --> 00:28:48 the pride
00:28:48 --> 00:28:49 of black power,
00:28:49 --> 00:28:49 the pride
00:28:49 --> 00:28:50 of intellectual analysis,
00:28:51 --> 00:28:51 the pride
00:28:51 --> 00:28:53 of anti-intellectual scorn,
00:28:53 --> 00:28:54 the pride
00:28:54 --> 00:28:55 of loud verbal attack,
00:28:55 --> 00:28:55 the pride
00:28:55 --> 00:28:56 of despising silence,
00:28:57 --> 00:28:57 the pride
00:28:57 --> 00:28:58 that feels secure,
00:28:58 --> 00:28:59 the pride
00:28:59 --> 00:29:00 that masks fear.
00:29:00 --> 00:29:01 Where pride
00:29:01 --> 00:29:02 holds sway,
00:29:02 --> 00:29:03 there is no hope,
00:29:04 --> 00:29:05 no hope at all,
00:29:05 --> 00:29:07 for the kind of
00:29:07 --> 00:29:09 listening and
00:29:09 --> 00:29:10 patience
00:29:10 --> 00:29:11 and understanding
00:29:11 --> 00:29:12 and openness
00:29:12 --> 00:29:13 to correction
00:29:13 --> 00:29:14 that mature
00:29:14 --> 00:29:15 relationships
00:29:15 --> 00:29:16 require
00:29:16 --> 00:29:17 and every single
00:29:17 --> 00:29:18 one of us
00:29:18 --> 00:29:19 needs correcting.
00:29:19 --> 00:29:19 correcting.
00:29:20 --> 00:29:21 All of us
00:29:21 --> 00:29:22 need correcting.
00:29:29 --> 00:29:30 The gospel
00:29:30 --> 00:29:31 of Jesus Christ
00:29:31 --> 00:29:32 breaks the power
00:29:32 --> 00:29:32 of pride.
00:29:33 --> 00:29:33 It reveals
00:29:33 --> 00:29:34 the magnitude
00:29:34 --> 00:29:36 and the ugliness
00:29:36 --> 00:29:38 and the deadliness
00:29:38 --> 00:29:40 of our sinful hearts
00:29:40 --> 00:29:42 even as it provides
00:29:42 --> 00:29:43 deliverance
00:29:43 --> 00:29:44 from it.
00:29:46 --> 00:29:47 Jesus' death
00:29:47 --> 00:29:47 on the cross
00:29:47 --> 00:29:48 for our salvation
00:29:48 --> 00:29:50 is a devastation
00:29:50 --> 00:29:50 to pride
00:29:50 --> 00:29:51 and so hold
00:29:51 --> 00:29:52 the gospel close.
00:29:54 --> 00:29:55 By grace
00:29:55 --> 00:29:55 you've been saved
00:29:55 --> 00:29:56 through faith
00:29:56 --> 00:29:57 and this is not
00:29:57 --> 00:29:58 from your own doing,
00:29:58 --> 00:29:59 it is a gift
00:29:59 --> 00:29:59 from God,
00:30:00 --> 00:30:01 not a result
00:30:01 --> 00:30:02 of works
00:30:02 --> 00:30:03 so that no one
00:30:03 --> 00:30:03 can boast.
00:30:04 --> 00:30:07 Jesus saves us
00:30:07 --> 00:30:08 by grace alone
00:30:08 --> 00:30:10 so that we would
00:30:10 --> 00:30:11 boast in
00:30:11 --> 00:30:12 him alone.
00:30:13 --> 00:30:14 Pride is shattered.
00:30:15 --> 00:30:16 So just imagine
00:30:16 --> 00:30:17 what ethnic
00:30:17 --> 00:30:17 and social
00:30:17 --> 00:30:18 and cultural
00:30:18 --> 00:30:19 controversies
00:30:19 --> 00:30:19 and political
00:30:19 --> 00:30:20 controversies
00:30:20 --> 00:30:20 and everything,
00:30:20 --> 00:30:21 what it would look
00:30:21 --> 00:30:22 like if the
00:30:22 --> 00:30:23 participants
00:30:23 --> 00:30:24 in the debate
00:30:24 --> 00:30:25 were in fact
00:30:25 --> 00:30:27 dead to pride,
00:30:27 --> 00:30:28 deeply humbled
00:30:28 --> 00:30:29 before God
00:30:29 --> 00:30:30 and able to
00:30:30 --> 00:30:31 listen to each
00:30:31 --> 00:30:32 other,
00:30:33 --> 00:30:34 able to listen.
00:30:34 --> 00:30:35 because their
00:30:35 --> 00:30:35 identity
00:30:35 --> 00:30:37 is not
00:30:37 --> 00:30:38 attached
00:30:38 --> 00:30:39 to them
00:30:39 --> 00:30:40 being right
00:30:40 --> 00:30:41 but it's
00:30:41 --> 00:30:41 attached to
00:30:41 --> 00:30:42 who they are
00:30:42 --> 00:30:42 in Christ.
00:30:45 --> 00:30:46 James will
00:30:46 --> 00:30:46 talk a bit
00:30:46 --> 00:30:46 more about
00:30:46 --> 00:30:47 that next
00:30:47 --> 00:30:47 week.
00:30:50 --> 00:30:51 See,
00:30:51 --> 00:30:51 this series
00:30:51 --> 00:30:52 is about
00:30:52 --> 00:30:52 your heart,
00:30:52 --> 00:30:53 it's about
00:30:53 --> 00:30:53 my heart
00:30:53 --> 00:30:55 and it would
00:30:55 --> 00:30:55 be somewhat
00:30:55 --> 00:30:56 ironic
00:30:56 --> 00:30:57 if we were
00:30:57 --> 00:30:58 to look down
00:30:58 --> 00:30:59 on others
00:30:59 --> 00:31:00 as we take
00:31:00 --> 00:31:00 this journey
00:31:00 --> 00:31:01 to the scriptures
00:31:01 --> 00:31:02 together
00:31:02 --> 00:31:02 to deepen
00:31:02 --> 00:31:03 our life
00:31:03 --> 00:31:03 together.
00:31:04 --> 00:31:05 It would
00:31:05 --> 00:31:05 be somewhat
00:31:05 --> 00:31:06 ironic if we
00:31:06 --> 00:31:07 weren't searching
00:31:07 --> 00:31:07 our own hearts
00:31:07 --> 00:31:08 but looking at
00:31:08 --> 00:31:09 others and
00:31:09 --> 00:31:10 their failures
00:31:10 --> 00:31:11 instead.
00:31:14 --> 00:31:15 Wouldn't that
00:31:15 --> 00:31:15 be ironic?
00:31:15 --> 00:31:19 And yet
00:31:19 --> 00:31:20 that's what
00:31:20 --> 00:31:20 I've done
00:31:20 --> 00:31:21 already.
00:31:23 --> 00:31:24 In fact,
00:31:24 --> 00:31:24 before I'd
00:31:24 --> 00:31:25 even finished
00:31:25 --> 00:31:26 preaching the
00:31:26 --> 00:31:26 first sermon
00:31:26 --> 00:31:27 in this series,
00:31:28 --> 00:31:29 I had
00:31:29 --> 00:31:29 thoughts of
00:31:29 --> 00:31:30 prejudice
00:31:30 --> 00:31:30 in my mind
00:31:30 --> 00:31:31 as I
00:31:31 --> 00:31:32 was
00:31:32 --> 00:31:32 preaching.
00:31:32 --> 00:31:40 I'm
00:31:40 --> 00:31:40 still
00:31:40 --> 00:31:41 living
00:31:41 --> 00:31:41 with a
00:31:41 --> 00:31:41 sinful
00:31:41 --> 00:31:42 heart
00:31:42 --> 00:31:44 but
00:31:44 --> 00:31:45 thanks be
00:31:45 --> 00:31:45 to the
00:31:45 --> 00:31:45 gracious
00:31:45 --> 00:31:46 God,
00:31:46 --> 00:31:46 Lord Jesus
00:31:46 --> 00:31:47 Christ.
00:31:49 --> 00:31:49 Thanks be
00:31:49 --> 00:31:50 to him.
00:31:51 --> 00:31:51 My hope
00:31:51 --> 00:31:52 and my
00:31:52 --> 00:31:52 healing
00:31:52 --> 00:31:53 are in
00:31:53 --> 00:31:53 him
00:31:53 --> 00:31:53 alone.
00:31:55 --> 00:31:55 The
00:31:55 --> 00:31:56 more I
00:31:56 --> 00:31:56 stop
00:31:56 --> 00:31:57 working
00:31:57 --> 00:31:57 for my
00:31:57 --> 00:31:58 justification
00:31:58 --> 00:31:59 and sit
00:31:59 --> 00:31:59 at the
00:31:59 --> 00:31:59 feet
00:31:59 --> 00:31:59 of
00:31:59 --> 00:32:00 Jesus,
00:32:01 --> 00:32:01 the
00:32:01 --> 00:32:01 more I
00:32:01 --> 00:32:02 become like
00:32:02 --> 00:32:02 him,
00:32:03 --> 00:32:03 the
00:32:03 --> 00:32:04 good
00:32:04 --> 00:32:04 Samaritan.
00:32:06 --> 00:32:07 God
00:32:07 --> 00:32:08 is calling
00:32:08 --> 00:32:08 people of
00:32:08 --> 00:32:09 the world
00:32:09 --> 00:32:09 to share
00:32:09 --> 00:32:09 in a
00:32:09 --> 00:32:10 community
00:32:10 --> 00:32:11 that includes
00:32:11 --> 00:32:11 their enemies
00:32:11 --> 00:32:13 and reconciles
00:32:13 --> 00:32:14 them to
00:32:14 --> 00:32:14 those who
00:32:14 --> 00:32:15 worship and
00:32:15 --> 00:32:16 live in
00:32:16 --> 00:32:16 other ways.
00:32:17 --> 00:32:18 If this
00:32:18 --> 00:32:18 is the
00:32:18 --> 00:32:19 design of
00:32:19 --> 00:32:19 God,
00:32:20 --> 00:32:21 then we
00:32:21 --> 00:32:22 will not
00:32:22 --> 00:32:23 display
00:32:23 --> 00:32:25 and magnify
00:32:25 --> 00:32:26 the cross
00:32:26 --> 00:32:27 of Christ
00:32:27 --> 00:32:27 better
00:32:27 --> 00:32:29 than by
00:32:29 --> 00:32:30 more and
00:32:30 --> 00:32:31 deeper and
00:32:31 --> 00:32:31 sweeter
00:32:31 --> 00:32:32 ethnic
00:32:32 --> 00:32:33 diversity
00:32:33 --> 00:32:33 and humble
00:32:33 --> 00:32:34 unity in
00:32:34 --> 00:32:34 our worship
00:32:34 --> 00:32:35 and life
00:32:35 --> 00:32:35 together
00:32:35 --> 00:32:36 and our
00:32:36 --> 00:32:37 debating
00:32:37 --> 00:32:38 with those
00:32:38 --> 00:32:38 who are
00:32:38 --> 00:32:38 ideologically
00:32:38 --> 00:32:39 different
00:32:39 --> 00:32:40 than us
00:32:40 --> 00:32:41 in our
00:32:41 --> 00:32:41 church.
00:32:43 --> 00:32:44 When we
00:32:44 --> 00:32:44 can do
00:32:44 --> 00:32:44 that in
00:32:44 --> 00:32:45 love,
00:32:45 --> 00:32:45 with
00:32:45 --> 00:32:46 patience,
00:32:46 --> 00:32:46 with
00:32:46 --> 00:32:47 listening,
00:32:47 --> 00:32:49 being ready
00:32:49 --> 00:32:50 and open
00:32:50 --> 00:32:50 for correction,
00:32:51 --> 00:32:52 we become
00:32:52 --> 00:32:53 paysetters for
00:32:53 --> 00:32:53 our world.
00:32:55 --> 00:32:56 May we be
00:32:56 --> 00:32:57 characterised by
00:32:57 --> 00:32:57 grace and
00:32:57 --> 00:32:58 humility and
00:32:58 --> 00:33:00 civility as
00:33:00 --> 00:33:01 we are slow
00:33:01 --> 00:33:01 to speak,
00:33:02 --> 00:33:03 quick to
00:33:03 --> 00:33:03 listen to
00:33:03 --> 00:33:04 each other,
00:33:04 --> 00:33:05 seeking not
00:33:05 --> 00:33:05 just to
00:33:05 --> 00:33:06 understand a
00:33:06 --> 00:33:07 position,
00:33:08 --> 00:33:09 but to
00:33:09 --> 00:33:09 understand a
00:33:09 --> 00:33:10 person.
00:33:11 --> 00:33:12 A person
00:33:12 --> 00:33:14 made in
00:33:14 --> 00:33:15 God's image
00:33:15 --> 00:33:16 as fallen
00:33:16 --> 00:33:17 as I am,
00:33:19 --> 00:33:19 but an
00:33:19 --> 00:33:20 equally a
00:33:20 --> 00:33:21 recipient of
00:33:21 --> 00:33:21 God's grace
00:33:21 --> 00:33:22 and mercy
00:33:22 --> 00:33:23 as I am.
00:33:30 --> 00:33:31 aw,
00:33:31 --> 00:33:31 you
00:33:31 --> 00:33:32 wasn't
00:33:32 --> 00:33:33 when you
00:33:33 --> 00:33:34 can so
00:33:34 --> 00:33:35 if there is
00:33:35 --> 00:33:36 a
00:33:36 --> 00:33:37 sign
00:33:37 --> 00:33:38 of
00:33:38 --> 00:33:38 and
00:33:38 --> 00:33:39 akah
00:33:39 --> 00:33:40 may
00:33:40 --> 00:33:40 in
00:33:40 --> 00:33:41 time
00:33:41 --> 00:33:41 once
00:33:41 --> 00:33:41 to
00:33:41 --> 00:33:44 OR
00:33:44 --> 00:33:44 dok
00:33:44 --> 00:33:45 those
00:33:45 --> 00:33:45 mis
00:33:45 --> 00:33:46 izen
00:33:46 --> 00:33:47 there

00:33:49 --> 00:33:50 "'
00:33:50 --> 00:33:51 '
00:33:51 --> 00:33:51 Por我跟你
