For thousands of years, humanity has rebelled against God, rejected His authority, and blasphemed His name—yet God has shown extraordinary patience. In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef explains that God’s delay in judgment is not weakness or forgetfulness. It is an expression of His mercy and His call for sinners to repent.
People offer many reasons for postponing surrender to Christ: I’m not ready. I’m a good person. My friends won’t understand. I want control of my own life. But no excuse can save a soul. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is patient, “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
Dr. Youssef delivers a sobering reminder: the opportunity to receive salvation will not remain open forever. A day of judgment is coming, and after this life there will be no opportunity to undo a lifetime of rejecting Christ.
Yet the heart of the Gospel is hope. God does not delight in the destruction of the wicked. He sent His Son so that sinners could be forgiven, redeemed, and reconciled to Him. Jesus has already paid the price, conquered sin and death, and secured victory over Satan.
Today, the invitation still stands. Do not postpone what matters for eternity. Turn to Jesus Christ, receive His grace, and rest in the salvation He has already accomplished.

Lord, thank You for Your long-suffering compassion. Help me to daily submit my will to Yours. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
