The judgments described in Revelation are sobering. Seal after seal reveals war, famine, death, persecution, upheaval, and divine judgment against a world hardened in rebellion.
In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef points to the Lamb of God as the central figure in this unfolding vision. Jesus Christ alone is worthy to open the scroll because through His death and resurrection He has conquered sin, Satan, and death. History is not spiraling out of control—it is moving toward the triumph of its rightful King.
As the seals and trumpets unfold, Revelation also offers powerful reassurance to God’s people. The martyrs are heard. The faithful are sealed. God knows those who belong to Him, and no force of evil can overturn His purposes or snatch His people from His hand.
The judgments of Revelation are therefore not meant to paralyze believers with fear. They are meant to awaken urgency, strengthen hope, and remind us that Christ will ultimately establish His righteous rule.
Jesus said that when these things begin to happen, His people should “stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” So rather than living in dread, make every day count for Christ. Take heart. Your King is victorious, your redemption is secure, and your destiny is glory.
Join me in prayer.
Lord Jesus, empower me to remember I am destined for glory as I face trials on this earth. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
