[00:00:12] God, the Sovereign Creator, had the ability to choose any title He wanted to tell the
[00:00:17] world about His Son, Jesus. 700 years before Jesus was born, the very first title God chose
[00:00:23] to describe His Son to the prophet Isaiah was Wonderful Counselor. Because Jesus was born
[00:00:30] Jesus is God, the wisdom that He offers flows out of His omnipotence. Jesus is the only one
[00:00:37] who can see clearly into the depths of our hearts, and He is the only one who can heal when we
[00:00:43] are broken. Jesus is the only one who knows everything about us, even our deepest longings,
[00:00:50] and then only He can satisfy those longings. Jesus is the only one who knows every dark chamber
[00:00:57] in our hearts, and then only He can shine His light in those dark corners and lead the way
[00:01:03] out. The counsel that Jesus offers is given in light of His absolute understanding of all
[00:01:10] things. No one else can give counsel and wisdom so thorough and complete. Not only that, the
[00:01:18] wonderful Counselor offers His perfectly wise counsel to us any time. Jesus said,
[00:01:23] The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have
[00:01:29] said to you. God's very Spirit lives inside every believer in Christ, so no appointments are necessary.
[00:01:37] Jesus is always in session with you. Through His Spirit living inside you, the Wonderful Counselor has
[00:01:46] the ultimate open-door policy. This counsel is a great gift, and our Wonderful Counselor offers this
[00:01:53] all-knowing wisdom to whoever asked Him for it. So before you talk to anyone else about what's going
[00:01:59] on in your life, seek the Wonderful Counselor. Linger in His presence and receive His counsel,
[00:02:06] His truth, and even His loving rebuke. Receiving the Counselor's wisdom from the halls of heaven itself
[00:02:13] is simply a matter of tuning your heart to Him. Can you hear Him? Let's pray together.
[00:02:22] Wonderful Counselor, help us heed your voice and seek your counsel first and always. We pray this in
