[00:00:00] You are listening to My Devotional, the Daily Devotional from Dr. Michael Youssef and Leading The Way. Unashamed of Our Identity by Dr. Michael Youssef The call to live loud for Christ, unashamed of the gospel, is clear in Scripture. But how do we live with such boldness?

[00:00:21] The answer is threefold, and it comes from a close look at Romans chapter 1 and the life of the apostle Paul. The first reason Paul could live unashamed of the gospel was because he knew who he was and to whom he belonged.

[00:00:35] He knew that Jesus Christ was Lord, and he knew that he had been set apart by him to be his apostle. Paul knew that his identity was in Christ, and nothing could take that away from him.

[00:00:49] In a day when so many people are mixed up about who they are, when it's fashionable to question your gender or define yourself by your political party, it's refreshing to see the apostle Paul hold so tightly to his blood-bought identity.

[00:01:06] He was not confused about what his purpose on earth was supposed to be. He knew his identity. He was a servant of Jesus Christ. My friends, this is the healthiest self-perception you can have.

[00:01:19] Remember, you are also among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ, firmly rooting yourselves in His glorious identity today, and you will be anchored regardless of what opposition comes your way. Don't miss out on the peace that comes from knowing who and whose you are.

[00:01:40] Let's pray together. Father, thank You for making us Your children through Jesus Christ. Help us to rest our identity in this truth and to live lives that reflect Your transformational work in our hearts. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
