[00:00:08] There is power to our witness by Dr. Michael Youssef.
[00:00:14] In spite of the hostility and persecution all around them, the Thessalonians welcome
[00:00:19] the good news with the joy of the Holy Spirit.
[00:00:22] The same Holy Spirit gives power to our witness.
[00:00:26] He is at work in us as we witness.
[00:00:28] And He is at work in those we witness too.
[00:00:31] He gives power, dynamite to our words.
[00:00:34] And He opens the eyes and ears of those who see and hear us.
[00:00:38] Some of those who hear our witness will receive it with joy, and others will not.
[00:00:43] Some will even be angry.
[00:00:46] Don't be intimidated.
[00:00:47] Don't be fearful.
[00:00:48] Share your faith boldly in the power of the Holy Spirit.
[00:00:51] Don't think you can be a witness for Christ in your own strength.
[00:00:54] Let the Spirit of God speak through you.
[00:00:58] One thing is clear about these Thessalonian believers.
[00:01:01] They did not sit on their blessed assurance after they came to Christ.
[00:01:05] They moved out fearlessly and dynamically, and they impacted the world for Jesus.
[00:01:11] Paul writes, The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Archaea.
[00:01:17] Your faith in God has become known everywhere.
[00:01:21] Wouldn't it be wonderful if such things were said of you and me?
[00:01:25] Wouldn't it be wonderful if our faith in God was known everywhere?
[00:01:30] Let's pray together.
[00:01:32] Lord, forgive us for those times that we have selflessly kept salvation to ourselves
[00:01:37] instead of moving out to share it lovingly with others in need, the need of Your grace
[00:01:42] and hope.
[00:01:43] Grow our faith in You so that we will boldly and wisely share Your gospel.
[00:01:49] May our faith in You be known everywhere to Your glory.
[00:01:53] We pray this in the name of Jesus.
