[00:00:13] Satan and his minions are always looking for opportunities to pull us away from the path
[00:00:19] of truth.
[00:00:20] However, there is good news.
[00:00:22] God has not left us on our own.
[00:00:25] He has not left us without the help we need to live a victorious Christian life.
[00:00:30] Ephesians 6.10 tells us, Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
[00:00:38] Notice, Paul does not say to find strength within.
[00:00:41] He doesn't tell us to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.
[00:00:45] He says to be strong in the Lord.
[00:00:48] Our strength comes from God and God alone.
[00:00:51] You may ask, Well, how do I tap into that strength?
[00:00:56] The Word of God tells us, Put on the full armor of God.
[00:01:01] God intends for His people to put His spiritual armor on and keep it on.
[00:01:06] The armor of God is a permanent fixture, a lifelong companion, the continuous provision
[00:01:12] of the Lord's power for us and to us.
[00:01:16] Another vital thing to remember about the armor of God is that it isn't given to us to defend
[00:01:21] against other people.
[00:01:22] We are to stand against the devil's schemes.
[00:01:25] You see that in verse 11.
[00:01:27] The devil often spreads evil through human institutions.
[00:01:31] When you see the government promoting sin, that's evil.
[00:01:34] And the devil is pulling the strings behind all of it.
[00:01:38] The biggest deception is convincing people that he doesn't even exist.
[00:01:42] That's why we must remember, we are not at war with other people, even those who perpetuate
[00:01:49] the wickedness we see.
[00:01:51] We are at war with spiritual powers in the heavenly realms.
[00:01:56] Satan's army is united.
[00:01:58] They are extremely disciplined, motivated, organized, and obedient to the chain of command.
[00:02:04] But the armor of God is our equipment for victory.
[00:02:07] It's not given only to church leaders or well-known preachers.
[00:02:11] It's given to every single believer.
[00:02:14] Whether you are six or 60, you have the same armor from the Lord, and you can use it to defeat
[00:02:21] your enemy every time.
[00:02:23] But let me stress that when Satan attacks you, do not engage in battle by yourself.
[00:02:29] Run to your commanding officer, Jesus Christ.
[00:02:32] Let him take over.
[00:02:34] Your one responsibility is to put on God's full armor so that you can engage in the greatest
[00:02:40] battle and experience the greatest victory that brings the greatest joy, all through Christ.
[00:02:47] Let's pray together.
[00:02:49] Lord, help us to remember that we are not at war with the people around us, but with the
[00:02:55] spiritual forces in the heavenly realm that fights against your righteous kingdom.
[00:03:00] May we put on your full armor so that we can stand in your strength to defeat the enemy's
[00:03:06] attacks.
[00:03:07] We pray this in the name of Jesus.
