[00:00:13] To delight in the presence of God, you must first taste and see that He is good.
[00:00:19] Over and over again in the Bible, God draws near to the people He loves so much.
[00:00:24] He walks with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
[00:00:27] He speaks to Moses from a burning bush, and ultimately He puts on flesh, becoming one
[00:00:33] of us.
[00:00:35] Over and over again, God draws near to us and invites us to taste and see, to experience
[00:00:40] Him for ourselves.
[00:00:42] God calls each one of us to come to Him and develop a first-hand understanding of His
[00:00:46] love and kindness.
[00:00:48] No one else, no pastor, spouse or parent can do this for you.
[00:00:52] You must personally experience His presence and learn what it means to delight in Him.
[00:00:59] How do you experience the presence of God?
[00:01:02] Begin by spending time in His Word.
[00:01:04] Our God has given us a twelve hundred-page letter about who He is, so turn to the Scriptures
[00:01:11] today and connect with your Heavenly Father.
[00:01:14] As you do, the experience of the Psalmist will become yours.
[00:01:18] How sweet are your words to my taste!
[00:01:23] Taster than honey to my mouth.
[00:01:25] Taste and see that the Lord is good.
[00:01:28] The sooner you begin, the sooner you'll be able to experience His wonderful presence
[00:01:33] working in and through you.
[00:01:37] Let's pray together.
[00:01:38] Father, thank You for drawing us near to You, for giving us Your Word, for giving
[00:01:42] us Your Son, for giving us Your Spirit.
