[00:00:08] Salvation Guarantees Part 2 by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:14] Yesterday we looked at three of the six incredible guarantees we received from God when we were
[00:00:20] justified through faith.
[00:00:22] Today let's look at the final three guarantees we receive from God.
[00:00:27] We are guaranteed suffering for Christ.
[00:00:31] If you take a stand for Christ at work, in school or even within your own family or community,
[00:00:37] you will be persecuted, but your suffering is not meaningless.
[00:00:42] God uses our suffering to produce perseverance, and it is by learning perseverance that we
[00:00:48] are prepared for even greater Kingdom purposes.
[00:00:52] Suffering for Christ produces character, and character cannot be learned from a book.
[00:00:58] Therefore we glory in our sufferings, enduring the pain and hope of the joy to come.
[00:01:06] We are also guaranteed God's overwhelming love.
[00:01:11] Many believe that the love of God is dependent upon our performance, but this could not
[00:01:16] be further from the truth.
[00:01:18] When we were totally enslaved to Satan, sin and death, God sent His Son to die for us,
[00:01:25] and if He so loved us while we were His enemies, how much more can we be assured of His love
[00:01:31] now that we are His children?
[00:01:35] And finally, we are guaranteed God's overwhelming joy.
[00:01:40] Any time your circumstances threaten to bring you down, remember all that you have
[00:01:45] been given in Christ.
[00:01:46] As you do, His supernatural joy will bear you up and renew your hope.
[00:01:53] Have you been rejected for Christ or maligned for doing good?
[00:01:58] How can these salvation guarantees help you persevere?
[00:02:03] Let's pray together.
[00:02:04] Father, thank You for the amazing guarantees that You have given us through Jesus Christ.
[00:02:10] May Your love and peace sustain us with overwhelming joy and perseverance.
[00:02:15] Whatever trials come, we pray that our endurance and hope we glorify Your name for it all flows
[00:02:24] from You.
[00:02:26] We pray this in the name of Jesus.
