[00:00:08] Salvation Guarantees Part 1 by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:14] How can we continue following Christ for the rest of our lives?
[00:00:18] In Romans 5, verses 1-11, Paul gives us an answer.
[00:00:24] We must hold fast to our salvation by remembering the six incredible guarantees
[00:00:30] that we receive from God when we are justified through faith.
[00:00:35] Let's look at the first three now.
[00:00:38] Number one, the first guarantee is peace with God. This peace is not dependent on our feelings,
[00:00:45] but is permanent and irrevocable for it's found in Christ Himself. I know that thousands of you
[00:00:52] could testify here because you have experienced His peace even in your darkest hour. I know I have.
[00:01:00] The second guarantee is favor with God. This favor is a privileged position that we stand
[00:01:07] in for the rest of our lives. Once we enter into grace, we cannot fall out of it, for God
[00:01:12] Himself sustains, strengthens, convicts and restores us by His Holy Spirit as we live for Him
[00:01:20] each day. The third guarantee is hope in God. The word hope here means absolute certainty. By faith,
[00:01:30] we are absolutely certain of what we cannot see, that God is real and His promises are true.
[00:01:36] Therefore, we can rejoice even when our whole world is falling apart because in Christ
[00:01:42] our future is gloriously bright. Let's pray together. God help us to hold unswervingly
[00:01:49] to these guarantees of salvation and experience your peace, favor and hope this day. We pray this in
