[00:00:00] Welcome to Divine Stream Radio Podcast. I'm Jason Blakelock and today we're diving into Romans 8, a chapter filled with hope and assurance for believers. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This powerful statement opens the chapter declaring our freedom from guilt and shame. In Christ we are set free from the penalty of sin and we can live confidently knowing we are forgiven. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
[00:00:30] Through the Spirit we experience a new life. This freedom from sin empowers us to live according to God's will, transforming our hearts and minds to reflect His love and righteousness. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Paul acknowledges the reality of suffering but shifts our focus to the eternal glory that awaits us.
[00:00:58] This perspective encourages us to endure hardships with hope and anticipation of God's promises. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose. This verse reassures us that God is at work in every situation orchestrating events for our ultimate good. Trusting in His sovereignty means believing that He is weaving our lives into His divine plan. What then shall we say to these things?
[00:01:26] If God is for us, who can be against us? Paul's question highlights the security we have in God's love and power. With God on our side, no opposition can ultimately prevail. His presence is our greatest strength and assurance. As we reflect on Romans 8, let's embrace the freedom, hope and security we have in Christ.
