[00:00:08] Our Shepherds Protection by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:12] When surrounded by attackers we can find joy in the Lord because we've been anointed with the oil of the Holy Spirit.
[00:00:20] Only our Shepherds can provide us with this spirit-filled, joyful life that empowers us when our enemies attack.
[00:00:27] The Bible tells us, the joy of the Lord is our strength. That's Nehemiah 810.
[00:00:36] We will never lack for anything because our Creator's goodness and mercy will be our constant companions throughout life and for eternity.
[00:00:44] Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
[00:00:51] This doesn't mean we are guaranteed financial wealth or perfect health or pain-free life, but our Shepherds knows the deepest needs of our souls and he alone knows how to fill them.
[00:01:05] Psalm 116 verses 6 through 9 tells us,
[00:01:09] The Lord protects the unworthy when I was brought low he saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
[00:01:20] For You, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes, from tears, my feet, from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
[00:01:33] Whatever challenges you're facing today, trust in the Shepherds' protection. Let's pray together.
[00:01:42] Father, thank You for the joy and the protection that You offer. Thank You for knowing our deepest needs.
[00:01:48] We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
