[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_01]: One of those days by Dr. Michael Youssef, we all have the days when it seems like everything is working against us.
[00:00:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Your son missed the school bus, your daughter left her lunch box at home.
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You had one meeting after another at work. You stood in line for 20 minutes of the grocery store.
[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_01]: You fought rush hour traffic all the way home.
[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Days like that can be frustrating, and in those moments it's easy to lose patients with situations and the people around us.
[00:00:39] [SPEAKER_01]: We may seek to be patient, but we cannot generate a long, suffering spirit apart from the spirit of God.
[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not with an our own capacity to be patient.
[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_01]: It's when the spirit of God is pouring patients into our hearts that it becomes a defining characteristic of our souls,
[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_01]: rather than simply something we've futally strived to practice in our own strength.
[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Christian patients is based upon the absolute unshakable belief that God is sovereign and that he is at work in the lives of his children.
[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Christian patients stems from the knowledge that you will not be forgotten nor forsaken by God no matter the circumstances.
[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_01]: As Ephesians chapter 4 verse 2 says,
[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Be completely humble and gentle.
[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Be patient.
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Bearing with one another in love.
[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's pray together.
[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: God thank you that no matter what comes our way, you have not forgotten nor forsaken us.
[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Help our lives to exhibit Christian patients even in the most trying circumstances.
[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
