[00:00:06] the Way. Jehovah Rapha by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:12] Are you hurting today? Maybe you're struggling with physical pain such as a headache, an illness
[00:00:17] or a disease. Or maybe you're experiencing the emotional pain of disappointment, depression
[00:00:23] or hurt feelings. Or perhaps you're hurting spiritually from bitterness, unconfessed sin
[00:00:29] or a broken spirit. If you're hurting today, then seek the help of Jehovah Rapha, the Great
[00:00:37] Physician. In Exodus 15, 26, God introduces His name as Jehovah Rapha, who heals you. The
[00:00:46] word Rapha means to heal, cure, restore. God does not promise to heal us only in an isolated
[00:00:53] illness or need. Rather, God says He is healing. By calling Himself Jehovah Rapha, He's saying,
[00:01:00] healing is what I am. Jehovah Rapha is our wholeness. We see this truth echoed in the New
[00:01:08] Testament every time Jesus says to a person, be made whole. Wholeness is God's desire for
[00:01:15] us. No disease, nothing that causes us pain or suffering can withstand God's healing touch.
[00:01:21] As Christians, we experience wholeness even in death as we spend eternity with Him. Jehovah Rapha is
[00:01:28] our restorer. He is our healer of physical illness and the hurts in our hearts and souls. When we're
[00:01:35] emotionally overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, grieving, or distressed, God is there for us. Only God can
[00:01:42] repair a broken heart. Only God can purify an unclean soul. Only God can set us free from
[00:01:51] addiction. Only God can heal us of sin. The scripture tells us Jesus Himself bore our sins in His body on
[00:02:01] the cross so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness. By His wounds, you have been healed.
[00:02:10] 1 Peter 2, 24. Let's pray together. Father, thank you for being Jehovah Rapha. You are the God who heals us.
[00:02:20] We thank you for your healing power in our life now and for eternity. May no area of our lives be kept
[00:02:28] from your healing touch. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
