[00:00:12] Have you faced an exceedingly tough circumstance that tested every bit of your strength, intelligence and character?
[00:00:20] Maybe you're facing the troubling time right now, and your whole life is at a turning point.
[00:00:26] That's exactly what the prophet Daniel experienced when he was sent as a captive into King Nebuchadnezzar's palace.
[00:00:35] Daniel did not have the benefit of years of experience, maturity or education to help him handle the situation.
[00:00:42] As a young teenager, Daniel had to maintain his faith in a pagan culture and survive the King's rigorous training program intended to mold him into a Babylonian leader.
[00:00:53] Not many of us would be able to survive what Daniel did at any age, but that's exactly what God wants us to realize.
[00:01:02] We cannot do big things on our own. It's just not possible.
[00:01:07] But though we are small, God is Almighty.
[00:01:11] Though we are weak, God is strong.
[00:01:14] Though we are limited, God is limitless.
[00:01:17] God promised Paul, my grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weakness.
[00:01:25] It's the same for us. Thus we can echo Paul when he said,
[00:01:29] therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ power may rest on me.
[00:01:38] We never need to worry about our future, because God is on our side.
[00:01:44] Let's pray together.
[00:01:45] God sometimes, life seems so big for us.
[00:01:49] Help us to rely on you, especially in those moments knowing that your power is made perfect in our weakness.
[00:01:55] We pray this in the name of Jesus, amen.
