[00:00:14] Praise focuses our attention on the world of the Spirit, the heavenly spiritual reality
[00:00:20] where He calls us to live and move. Praise brings joy to adverse circumstances. An amazing
[00:00:27] thing happens as we praise God for all He is and does. We see more clearly the truth
[00:00:32] of His nature. We see that He is the unlimited, holy, eternal King. We see that He is all-knowing,
[00:00:39] all-wise, and all-powerful. We see Him as loving, merciful, and long-suffering.
[00:00:45] When we come to God in praise and adoration, we also see the truth about ourselves more
[00:00:49] clearly, including the truth of our sinfulness and unworthiness. The more we grasp all that
[00:00:55] God is, the more we face all that we are not. The prophet Isaiah told us that those who hope
[00:01:01] in the Lord have their strength renewed and their energy restored.
[00:01:06] But how do we acquire this hope? We become hopeful when we look at what God can do, not
[00:01:13] what man has done. Hope wells up within us as we focus on God's capabilities, not man's
[00:01:20] weaknesses and inability. Hope springs up when we praise God for His perfection, recognizing,
[00:01:27] acknowledging, and trusting in all that He is, rather than giving honor to man's feeble
[00:01:32] attempts and less-than-perfect accomplishments. If you're exhausted at the end of the day,
[00:01:38] shut yourself in for a while with God. Praise Him with every ounce of energy that remains in you.
[00:01:44] You'll be refreshed, not only mentally and emotionally, but also physically. A special
[00:01:50] strength is imparted to those who praise the Lord. This kind of strength gives you the power of hope to
[00:01:56] endure, persevere, and outlast tough times. It gives you the power to intercede until God gives you a
[00:02:05] breakthrough. Let's pray together. Almighty, Holy God, You are worthy of our praise. Our hope is in You.
