[00:00:09] God's Ways Are Unsearchable by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:13] God has revealed Himself through the Lord Jesus Christ.
[00:00:17] By the revelation of His Son and the provision of His Word, we can know with certainty that
[00:00:22] God saves and redeems us and empowers us to obey Him.
[00:00:27] At the same time, God has not revealed everything about Himself.
[00:00:32] In our fallen state, we couldn't handle it if He did.
[00:00:36] Therefore, as long as we live in these mortal bodies, we must remain humble.
[00:00:41] We must let God be God.
[00:00:44] But many are doing the exact opposite, working as hard as they can to humanize God and deify
[00:00:50] man.
[00:00:52] The apostle Paul wrote Romans to remind us to stand in awe of God and His indescribable
[00:00:58] riches, wisdom and knowledge.
[00:01:00] In God's unfathomable wisdom, He loves sinners like us.
[00:01:05] He died for sinners like us, making it possible for us to be forgiven completely.
[00:01:10] Remembering such things help us to bow to Him in both our joys and sorrows, reminding
[00:01:16] ourselves that He is God.
[00:01:18] He is in control.
[00:01:20] We are not.
[00:01:22] In the first eleven chapters of the Epistle of Romans, Paul has been climbing step by
[00:01:28] step up the mountain of salvation.
[00:01:31] Then he finally comes to the summit in Romans 11.33 and he can only exclaim, God's ways
[00:01:39] are unsearchable.
[00:01:41] The truth of these words causes me to tremble in wonder.
[00:01:46] Therefore, in difficult times and in good times, I humble myself and say, You are God.
[00:01:54] Let's pray together.
[00:01:55] God, forgive me for having too small a vision of who you are.
[00:02:00] You are unsearchable, infinite, transcendent.
[00:02:04] May we bow before You in adoration every day.
[00:02:08] For You are God.
[00:02:11] We pray this in the name of Jesus.
[00:02:13] Amen.
