[00:00:12] Elijah turned the tide in his nation, though he was only one person with limited resources.
[00:00:20] The widow made a difference by making her last cake for God's man and not for herself.
[00:00:25] God puts unique service on the hearts of his people and blesses that obedience as they
[00:00:31] submit to his sovereign will. Often, God's Strategies make no sense to us because unlike
[00:00:37] him we have limited vision. When God took Elijah into the heart of the enemy territory,
[00:00:43] God knew that was the last place King Ahab's soldiers would look for him. God also knew that
[00:00:51] going to Zarephath would save Elijah from starvation, though common sense said there was a famine.
[00:00:57] More importantly, God showed Elijah that he cared about the Baal-worshipping widow and her family.
[00:01:04] God often has multiple objectives as he operates on many fronts simultaneously. If we follow his
[00:01:13] lead, we will be blessed and may become instruments of blessings for others. Has God ever prompted
[00:01:20] you to do something that made no sense at the time but was his sovereign will? Is God asking you now to
[00:01:27] move out of your comfort zone with people, your career, or your finances? Is he moving your heart to
[00:01:33] explore new territory in ministry or in your relationship with him? Let's pray together. God, your strategies
[00:01:41] often make us uncomfortable and confused, but we will obey your calling because we know that you
[00:01:47] can see what we cannot. We trust that you will bless us and use us to bless others as we obey you.
