[00:00:13] Obeying God is the most courageous act we can do.
[00:00:17] In our society today, rebellion seems to be the status quo.
[00:00:21] So many people are going against the grain of our cultural heritage that their actions
[00:00:26] have become the norm.
[00:00:27] When this type of thinking seeps into the way we view God, we begin to venture down a
[00:00:32] dangerous path, one of disobedience.
[00:00:36] God has a special calling on each person's life.
[00:00:39] However, our response to His calling determines whether we will be courageous followers or
[00:00:45] rebellious children.
[00:00:47] Many times we resist God's calling because we fear what He might call us to do.
[00:00:53] We forget that His plan is the best possible plan for us.
[00:00:57] His calling on our lives does not mean we are doomed to a lifestyle we loathe.
[00:01:03] Rather it's a calling to experience the fullness of life as we have yet to know it.
[00:01:09] There are so many moments in which David could have wandered down another path.
[00:01:14] After all, King Saul was chasing him across the countryside, wanting nothing less than
[00:01:19] David's life.
[00:01:20] Yet during this difficult time, David chose to remain faithful and obedient to the Lord.
[00:01:27] If we want to become courageous champions for Christ, we must remember that obedience to
[00:01:32] God is the cornerstone of our love for Him.
[00:01:36] While we may praise God with our mouths, what we do with our lives demonstrates where
[00:01:41] our hearts truly rest.
[00:01:43] God's calling on our lives awaits our obedience, and our decision to follow and obey Him no matter
[00:01:50] what will mold and shape us into true champions.
[00:01:55] Let's pray together.
[00:01:56] Lord, show us what it means to walk in true obedience to the call you've placed on
[00:02:01] our lives.
