[00:00:00] You are listening to MY Devotional, the Daily Devotional from Dr. Michael Youssef and Leading The Way. Godly Living by Dr. Michael Youssef. To live a godly life in Christ, we must, number one, have hearts focused and set on Christ.
[00:00:19] We do this by committing ourselves to prayer in the study of God's Word. We can't set our hearts on Christ or learn to live Godly lives unless we follow the instruction manual that God has given us. The Bible.
[00:00:33] To refuse to get caught up in busy work, believing that we're pleasing God. The greatest gift you can give the Lord is not a full schedule that includes one church meaning after another.
[00:00:45] Immorality can rob us of a beautiful relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, but busyness can prevent us from getting to know God in a personal way. We should not allow anything we're doing for God to prevent us from being with God.
[00:01:02] Number three, realize that God loves us with an unconditional love. When we draw nearer and nearer to Christ, our desire to follow the way of temptation will fade. No one will ever care as much for us as the Savior does.
[00:01:19] Christ died so that we might have eternal life. His grace is a gift that cannot be purchased through good works or outstanding behavior. He loved us even before we were born, and he loves us now. We cannot earn his love, and we cannot lose it.
[00:01:37] Number four, invest in our spiritual future. We're involved in a spiritual battle, unseen forces waged war against us, but Christ is one the ultimate victory for us.
[00:01:49] We are victorious only through faith in Jesus Christ, faith that must be built and maintained through love and devotion to God's Son. Let's pray together. God help us to live Godly lives that honor you. We pray this in the name of Jesus, amen.
