[00:00:00] You are listening to MY Devotional, the Daily Devotional from Dr. Michael Youssef and Leading The Way.
[00:00:08] God Walks with You by Dr. Michael Youssef.
[00:00:14] No one escapes difficulty. It's part of living in a fallen world but we do not have to live
[00:00:20] with defeat, discouragement and criticism. One of the hardest lessons we'll ever learn is how to turn a negative
[00:00:27] situation into a positive one. In Psalm 23, King David reminds us that it's all a matter of faith
[00:00:34] and perspective. He writes, even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear
[00:00:39] no evil for you or with me. You may be thinking, but you don't know my circumstances. There's no way
[00:00:46] for you to understand the pressure I feel or the discouragement that pleges my heart. Well, we can honestly
[00:00:51] know or understand the hurt another person may be experiencing. We do know that one person understands
[00:00:58] perfectly and he's Jesus Christ. He was rejected, betrayed, criticized and crucified. If you're
[00:01:06] looking for someone to identify with the pain that you're feeling, do what David did. Look up
[00:01:12] and realize someone is walking through the valley with you, no matter how dark life becomes,
[00:01:18] Christ will lead you to victory. Let's pray together. Lord, thank you for your mercy and love
[00:01:25] that sent Jesus the Son of God to walk this earth and know the struggles of life in a fallen world.
[00:01:32] It gives us comfort to know that you understand and live the perfect, sinless life that we could not
[00:01:39] ultimately die in our place to secure salvation. Pray this in the name of Jesus, amen.
[00:01:47] In a heart for God, lessons from the life of David, Dr. Michael Usep takes you on a journey through the
[00:01:54] highs and the lows of David's life. As you experience David's most desperate cries in the
[00:02:00] Psalms, you'll witness the power of a life completely surrendered to God. As you see the grandeur picture
[00:02:08] of David's life, you'll also discover how it all points to Christ Jesus, the perfect king who
[00:02:14] uses broken people to do great things for his kingdom. To learn more about this inspiring new book and
