[00:00:16] When we're hungry, we make every attempt to eat as quickly as possible.
[00:00:20] When we're thirsty, we head for the water fountain.
[00:00:23] When we're lonely, we call a friend or a family member.
[00:00:26] However, as Christians, sometimes we fail to recognize what our greatest needs are and the
[00:00:32] best way to satisfy them.
[00:00:33] The emptiness we sometimes feel can only be filled by God.
[00:00:39] Even after we come to know Christ, we may struggle to recognize that emptiness is a sign that we
[00:00:45] need to turn to Him.
[00:00:47] The world promises satisfaction through a plethora of good things—relationships, careers, wealth,
[00:00:53] health, and more—so we chase after these with reckless abandon.
[00:00:58] But these things are fleeting in this life and ultimately cannot fulfill the craving of our
[00:01:04] soul for more.
[00:01:05] Only the Divine can satisfy.
[00:01:08] An intimate relationship with God is the only thing that will satisfy every need we have.
[00:01:14] God is the one who transforms our hearts and minds so that even in the dark days, we have
[00:01:21] unspeakable joy.
[00:01:22] He's the one who quenches the thirst of our soul by showing us how much He loves us and
[00:01:27] cares for us.
[00:01:28] He knows what you need, and He knows exactly how to meet you where you are.
[00:01:34] If you're thirsty, remember that God is the source that quenches.
[00:01:39] He wants you to drink from Him the living water and fulfill your heart's desires.
[00:01:45] Let's pray together.
[00:01:47] Lord, help us to realize how much you love us today and that you desire to fill the deepest
[00:01:53] longings in our hearts.
