[00:00:08] Fix Your Eyes on Jesus by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:14] To delight in God's presence, set your heart and mind on Christ.
[00:00:18] Never take your eyes off of Him.
[00:00:21] If you want to fill miserably and delighting in God, keep your eyes on others.
[00:00:25] Chase their acceptance.
[00:00:27] Immulate their successes.
[00:00:29] Critique their weaknesses.
[00:00:31] When I was about 18 years old, the man who was then discipling me taught me this repeatedly.
[00:00:36] He said, If you ever want to fail and fail miserably, keep your eyes on church leaders.
[00:00:41] The bigger they are, the greater your fall.
[00:00:45] I've never forgotten that.
[00:00:47] No matter what direction you take, what temptations surround you, or what obstacles are in
[00:00:53] your path.
[00:00:54] The Bible gives clear instruction for success.
[00:00:58] Keep your focus on Jesus.
[00:01:00] Look to Him alone as your example, your guide and your moral standard.
[00:01:05] Spend every minute of every day in His presence.
[00:01:09] And you'll find supernatural peace and security no matter what you're facing in life.
[00:01:15] How do we keep our eyes on Jesus?
[00:01:18] By allowing Him to be the number one influence on our daily choices.
[00:01:23] Like finances, fear or the approval of others.
[00:01:26] As you do, He will make known to you the path of life and He will fill you with joy in His
[00:01:32] presence.
[00:01:33] So fix your eyes on Jesus today and learn from Him who made Himself low how to make
[00:01:39] your soul soar in God.
[00:01:42] Let's pray together.
[00:01:43] Lord, thank You for Your Word that reveals to us Your awesome character and love.
[00:01:49] Help us to follow Christ, clothing ourselves in Him as Your Word instructs us to do for
[00:01:54] our own good and delight.
