[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_01]: When Daniel was being trained in the Babylonian Palace, he was fed lies about spirituality and the meaning of life.
[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Just as we face lies every day from our society, Daniel was being indoctrinated into the pagan culture in which he was held captive.
[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Yet Daniel held untitly to God's truth.
[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_01]: God's word permeated every ounce of Daniel's being and he refused to let that go.
[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And because God was the center of Daniel's identity, he did not lose focus.
[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Like Daniel, we must take every message we hear in Filtering It through God's word,
[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_01]: no matter how appealing a message may sound or how often we hear it,
[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: if it does not bring glory to God, we cannot let it in.
[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_01]: We must discern the difference between man's truth and God's truth.
[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_01]: We must recognize what will provide only temporary happiness and what will bring eternal joy.
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_01]: If we fail to hold on to God's teachings, we will become vulnerable to worldly messages and lose our effectiveness for Christ.
[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Make a commitment to understand thoroughly what you believe and why.
[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Spend time in God's word and learn who you are as a child of God.
[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Standing up for your beliefs will help you become a powerful tool for God.
[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's pray together.
[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_01]: God helps us to spend more time in your words so that we can be confident in our beliefs and able to easily filter any messages that conflict with your word.
[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Give us the discern to recognize the difference between man's truth and your truth.
