[00:00:08] Father of a New Creation by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:12] Jesus is the Founding Father of a new creation. In the Old Testament, few individuals had a
[00:00:18] close relationship with God. Most people relied on priests to intervene on their behalf. Yet
[00:00:24] when Jesus came to earth, humanity began a new form of fellowship with our Creator. In
[00:00:30] the past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways.
[00:00:36] But in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things
[00:00:42] and through whom also He made the universe. The Gospel of John tells us, no one has ever
[00:00:49] seen God, but the one and the only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship
[00:00:57] with the Father, has made Him known.
[00:01:01] Because Jesus was the only human on earth who had dwelt with God the Father in heaven, He
[00:01:06] was in a unique position to change how we relate to God. Jesus is the one who revealed the heart
[00:01:13] of the Father to humanity. Jesus is the one who revealed the holiness, righteousness, and
[00:01:18] justice of God. Jesus is the one who revealed eternal life and how to receive it. He expressed
[00:01:25] the love of God to humanity when He paid the wages of our sins on the cross of Calvary.
[00:01:31] Because of Him, we have eternal life. He is therefore our everlasting Father.
[00:01:37] Let's pray together. God, thank you for being the founding Father of a new creation. Thank you,
[00:01:43] Jesus, for making a way for us to have a personal relationship with God.
[00:01:47] We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
