[00:00:12] Have you ever considered what the believers who have gone before us are doing in heaven?
[00:00:17] One thing we can be sure of is that they are joining the angels in praising God. The prophet
[00:00:22] Isaiah records a wonderful scene of praise. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the
[00:00:28] Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
[00:00:34] Above Him were seraphim, each with six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with
[00:00:40] two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying, and they were calling to one another,
[00:00:47] Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty. The whole earth is full of His glory.
[00:00:56] At the sound of their voices, the doorposts and the thresholds shook, and the temple was
[00:01:03] filled with smoke. Imagine this scene and think about how Isaiah felt in God's presence. Human
[00:01:10] words cannot express the glory his eyes witnessed. While we live in a visible, tangible world as
[00:01:18] children of God, we are only sojourners on earth. Our eternal destination is with God, praising Him.
[00:01:26] Therefore, praise is vital to our spiritual well-being. In times of praise, God becomes the focus of our
[00:01:33] hearts. We see Him as the source of our hope and strength. Praise changes our attitudes and prepares
[00:01:39] us for the manifestation of God's power in our lives. The Bible tells us that praise is a garment
[00:01:46] we can put on each day. We do not have to live with feelings of doubt and fear. We can opt to live
[00:01:53] a life of praise. The psalmist writes, As for me, I will always have hope. I will praise you more and
[00:02:01] more. Let's pray together. Lord, your glory is endless. Nothing can match your beauty and power.
[00:02:09] We pray that each difficulty that we face would become an opportunity to trust and love you more.
[00:02:15] Jesus, thank you for strengthening us as we fix our eyes upon you. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
