[00:00:08] Dwell in His Fortress by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:13] To delight in the presence of God means that we have confidence in Him as our refuge, our
[00:00:18] Redeemer who defeated the powers of sin and darkness at the cross.
[00:00:23] The Bible declares that God is our refuge, our fortress, our rock, an image of security
[00:00:28] and safety.
[00:00:30] But the only way to enter the protection of this invincible fortress is by knowing and
[00:00:35] resting in the truth of who God is.
[00:00:38] Only when we have grasped the freedom that Christ secured for us on the cross can we
[00:00:43] have unshakable confidence in Jehovah Nisi, God our Banner.
[00:00:48] Only when God's Word finds a home in our heart can we have true peace.
[00:00:54] It's not enough to read the Bible.
[00:00:56] We must let the message of Christ dwell among us richly.
[00:01:01] That means we must allow the deep truths about God revealed in Scripture, His character, the
[00:01:06] promises for us to penetrate our heart deep in our faith, strengthen our character,
[00:01:12] and lead us in the way of righteousness through His Spirit.
[00:01:16] Only the Word of God can sustain us under the pressures of life and protect us from
[00:01:20] the enemy.
[00:01:21] Only the Word of God can give us hope, joy, and victory for eternity.
[00:01:26] Are you looking for a refuge from the stresses and storms of life?
[00:01:31] Look to God's Word and dwell on His faithfulness.
[00:01:34] Reflect on His character and run to the one who is your safe haven.
[00:01:40] Let's pray together.
[00:01:42] Lord, You are our safe haven and we're confident in Your strength alone.
