[00:00:13] One of our initial and natural responses to difficulty is to look for an immediate solution.
[00:00:20] We do not like tension and pressure in relationships.
[00:00:24] We despise disunity and spend enormous amounts of time trying to repair such problems.
[00:00:30] But when attempts to bring about resolution fail, we often run, abandoning the problem
[00:00:36] and situation altogether.
[00:00:38] Our society is watching to see how we respond to conflict and trials.
[00:00:42] Are we going to run when things get tough?
[00:00:45] Or are we going to stand firm in peace and seek the Lord's will for our next steps?
[00:00:51] Where we are placing our trust directly impacts our response to difficulty and suffering.
[00:00:58] If we trust in our own abilities to resolve situations, we can easily lose heart when we
[00:01:04] fail.
[00:01:04] But if we trust in God and commit our every circumstance to Him resting in His sovereignty
[00:01:11] and love for us, we will bring glory to His name and show the world exactly where
[00:01:17] our hope lies.
[00:01:18] While God may not cause our difficulties, He certainly uses them to mature us.
[00:01:24] He shapes and fashions us more into His image as we learn to trust Him more.
[00:01:30] And it's in these times of testing God begins to refine our hearts in new ways.
[00:01:36] Running from the trials and tribulations in our lives to escape difficulty carries
[00:01:42] some harsh consequences.
[00:01:43] We may escape the testing, but we will also escape God's blessing.
[00:01:49] God enjoys rewarding His children with blessings from heaven, but no reward comes without
[00:01:54] personal sacrifice.
[00:01:56] His wondrous blessings await those courageous enough to face each challenge, dying to themselves
[00:02:02] and trusting in the One who gives true life.
[00:02:06] Let's pray together.
[00:02:07] Lord, give us strength to face every challenge you send our way with hope in your unfailing
[00:02:13] love.
[00:02:14] We pray this in the name of Jesus.
