[00:00:13] Becoming a champion challenges our faith in more ways than we think.
[00:00:18] When we experience a great deal of success and numerous victories in our lives, human nature
[00:00:23] begins to enjoy the praises that are given to us.
[00:00:26] Before we know it, the excitement that people have for us changes the way we view life and
[00:00:32] we start believing our own press.
[00:00:35] Instead of dwelling on who got us to this point, we begin dreaming about where we're going
[00:00:41] to take ourselves in the future.
[00:00:43] Humility is the mark of a true champion.

[00:00:52] Most people can sniff out false humility miles before they get to it.
[00:00:57] They hear the cliche about how we had nothing to do with it, and they know we do not believe
[00:01:02] a word we're saying.
[00:01:05] Sincere humility, however, is not making ourselves doormats or denying, ignoring,
[00:01:10] and undermining the gifts and talents God has given us.
[00:01:14] When we put God first, we begin to understand what true humility is.
[00:01:18] It's recognizing God as the reason for our success, the mastermind behind the plan that
[00:01:25] He's brought success to our lives.
[00:01:27] Humility also means we are quick to acknowledge and to believe wholeheartedly that God is
[00:01:33] the one who has designed this plan and equipped us with the tools to accomplish it.
[00:01:39] When our focus in life is on honoring God, we naturally put Him first in everything
[00:01:45] we do.
[00:01:46] There's no tension in our hearts over who belongs on the pedestal.
[00:01:50] We know we would be nothing without God.
[00:01:54] He is our everything, and for that, we must give Him our hearts and our sincere devotion.
[00:02:01] Let's pray together.
[00:02:02] Lord, help us to walk in sincere humility, honoring You with everything we do.
[00:02:09] We pray this in the name of Jesus.
