[00:00:13] Colts and heresies flourish because sincere people are looking for answers. Many are willing to turn to anything other than God.
[00:00:22] As a believer you've been given the source of all truth through God's Word.
[00:00:26] However we must be on guard when it comes to Satan's deception.
[00:00:30] This regarded if a pastor or preacher teaches something contrary to the Bible, in Matthew chapter 24, verses 4 through 5, Jesus warned His disciples,
[00:00:41] Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming I am the Messiah, and will deceive many.
[00:00:50] Satan is the source of all deception. He wants us to wonder off course by compromising the convictions God has taught us.
[00:00:58] At first we may walk just a few steps to the left or to the right, but before we know it we have fallen into sin.
[00:01:06] Satan strives to cause us to distrust God, His leadership, His authority and His Word.
[00:01:11] When we reject His truth, all we have left to stand on is a handful of lies.
[00:01:17] Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 4 that judgment is coming and calls us to stand firm in the truth of Christ.
[00:01:26] In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who will judge the living and the dead,
[00:01:31] and in view of His appearing and His kingdom I give you this charge.
[00:01:36] Preach the Word, be prepared in season and out of season.
[00:01:40] Correct, rebuk and encourage with great patience and careful instruction.
[00:01:48] Life is hopeless without Christ. He is alive and He's willing to fill every void in your life.
[00:01:56] You can look to Him for all the right answers to every question.
[00:02:00] Jesus will meet you right where you are. God knows you and He loves you. He knows your deepest needs.
[00:02:06] Keep His Word close to your heart and you will not be deceived.
[00:02:12] Let's pray together. Father, thank you for your scripture that leads us into all truth.
[00:02:18] Help us to hide its words in our hearts that we might not sin against you.
[00:02:23] We know that you love us and care for us.
[00:02:26] Remembering this help us to exercise faith in you today so that we will not be deceived.
[00:02:33] We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
