[00:00:13] The key to truly making the most of our Bible reading is to apply what we have learned.
[00:00:18] Seeking out truth will take work, but the work will be in vain if we don't allow the
[00:00:23] truth to transform our lives.
[00:00:27] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
[00:00:33] Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, His good, pleasing and perfect
[00:00:38] will.
[00:00:39] As you study a passage, take notes on what the Holy Spirit is saying to you.
[00:00:44] Ask yourself what the passage was saying to the original reader and what the passage
[00:00:48] means.
[00:00:50] Then ask yourself how you can apply this truth to your life today.
[00:00:55] Do your notes often to remind yourself what you've learned and make a plan to incorporate
[00:00:59] these truths into your life.
[00:01:03] God knows what we need.
[00:01:05] When we're open to the Holy Spirit's promptings, He will give us encouragement when we're struggling,
[00:01:10] rebuke us when we're rebelling, challenge us when we need to step forward in faith.
[00:01:17] He will also use His Word to warn us when we're about to head down the wrong path.
[00:01:23] Whatever situation we're going through, God will use His Word to give us the knowledge
[00:01:28] and wisdom to handle it.
[00:01:30] Let's pray together.
[00:01:31] Father, teach us to apply the truths of your Word to our lives.
[00:01:36] Help us to be willing to take the time to seek out truth and to hear what you want
[00:01:41] to say to us through your Word.
