[00:00:08] A Fulfilled Life by Dr. Michael Youssef
[00:00:13] In our culture today, people are desperately searching for fulfillment through careers,
[00:00:18] finances, relationships or false religion.
[00:00:21] But Paul tells us how to pursue fulfillment the right way by following a God-given dream,
[00:00:27] self-sacrificially, and giving Him the glory the whole way.
[00:00:33] The New Testament declares that every disciple of Jesus is a priest with a sacred calling on
[00:00:38] his or her life.
[00:00:40] In the Old Testament, priests were responsible for offering animal sacrifices for sin, pointing
[00:00:45] to the need for a Savior.
[00:00:47] Today our final, perfect sacrifice for sins has been made—Jesus Christ, the Lamb of
[00:00:53] God.
[00:00:54] Yet we are still called a royal priesthood.
[00:00:57] Why?
[00:00:58] Our job is still to point people to Christ, but our offerings are think offerings.
[00:01:05] We joyfully sacrifice our time, talent and treasures in proper worship to God, our Redeemer.
[00:01:13] Whatever your vocation, God is calling you to perform your priestly duty to Him
[00:01:17] on a daily basis.
[00:01:19] Your priestly duty might be sacrificing your comfort to witness for Christ, serving your
[00:01:24] family or giving sacrificially.
[00:01:27] Whatever it may be, let it be all for the glory of God out of the overflow of a grateful
[00:01:34] heart.
[00:01:35] Paul accomplished so much for the sake of the gospel, but he never took the credit.
[00:01:40] He said, I glory in Christ Jesus.
[00:01:43] God did it all.
[00:01:44] Do we share the same heart cry to live a life of worship and adoration to the One who gave
[00:01:51] it all for us?
[00:01:53] Let's pray together.
[00:01:55] God you are our great reward.
[00:01:57] Help us to share this joy with those around us, pointing them as a priest to the glorious
[00:02:03] hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
[00:02:06] We pray this in the name of Jesus.
[00:02:08] Amen.
