This is the day the Lord has made

"This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24

Choosing to rejoice and be glad in what the Lord has created can lift our spirits and remind us that our joy is rooted in His sovereignty and love. And as Romans 8:28 reminds us:

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

This means that no matter what we face—whether joy or hardship—God is actively working behind the scenes to bring about good in our lives. Even in moments when we feel overwhelmed or discouraged, we can rest assured that God is orchestrating everything for our ultimate good, because we love Him and are called according to His purpose. His love and purpose give us hope and strength, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
