The Power and Mystery of His Name — Yeshua
Inspired by The Book of Mysteries by Jonathan Cahn
The Name in Which You Are
Have you ever pondered the significance of the name of Jesus, or Yeshua — the name given to our Savior? In a reflective moment, I found myself on a sandy plain, reminiscent of a scene from a spiritual lesson, where symbols drawn in the sand revealed profound truths about the divine name.
The teacher handed me a stick, instructing me to draw symbols, which turned out to be Hebrew letters: Yud, Shin, Vav, and Ayin. These letters spell Yeshua, Jesus’ original Hebrew name. This was not just a name but a divine declaration of His mission: God saves.
Yeshua — The Name of Salvation
Before creation, the Son was with the Father, the Word was with God—eternal and unbegotten. Yet, the name Yeshua was given for us, for our salvation. When we say His name, we proclaim that He is joined to us—our Savior who bears the very meaning of salvation.
His name isn’t just a label; it’s a prophecy fulfilled when we accept Him. Every time we speak His name, we declare that God is salvation for us. It’s as if His name carries a promise—an invitation to be encompassed in His saving power.
The Mystery of His Name and Our Inclusion
Yeshua’s name is a divine mystery. It’s not just about Him; it’s about us. When we receive Him, His name becomes ours. We are in His name—joined forever to the One who saves us. His name proclaims our salvation, and in that act of receiving, we become part of His divine promise.
The name Yeshua is a prophecy that manifests in our lives when we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. His name is a divine declaration that God becomes your salvation—a truth fulfilled in us when we believe.
Reflective Scripture Passages
To deepen this understanding, meditate on these powerful passages:
Isaiah 12:1-3**
“In that day you will say: ‘I will praise you, Lord... with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.’”
This reminds us that salvation is a well of joy, available through His name.
Jeremiah 23:5-7**
“Behold, the days are coming... when Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell securely. This is the name by which He will be called: ‘The Lord Our Righteousness.’”
Yeshua embodies this righteousness and salvation.
Jeremiah 33:16**
“In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell securely. And this is the name by which she will be called: ‘The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’”
His name is our security and righteousness.
Matthew 1:21**
“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Yeshua, because He will save His people from their sins.”
The angel explicitly states the purpose of His name.
John 1:1-2**
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The divine Word became flesh in Yeshua, revealing the eternal purpose of His name.
Living in the Power of His Name
The name Yeshua isn’t just a historical label; it’s a living, prophetic declaration over your life. When you accept Him, His name becomes your declaration of salvation, righteousness, and eternal security. It’s a mystery — that divine name in which you are forever joined.
Ponder this: You are in His name. He was named for you. Seek to understand what that truly means for your daily walk. Live in the truth that His name is your salvation, your security, your hope.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, reveal the depth of Your name to us. Help us to grasp the mystery of Yeshua — that in Him, we are joined forever. May His name be a continual declaration of salvation over our lives. Amen.
Remember: His name is more than words; it’s a divine promise fulfilled in you. Embrace it today and live in the salvation He has already declared.
Yeshua — God Saves.
