In a quiet chamber filled with ancient scrolls and sacred texts, I was given a mysterious assignment: to find the “Mystery Scroll”—a scroll unlike any other. The teacher explained that this scroll doesn’t look like the typical scrolls of old. It’s covered in cloth of blue, brown, and white, and it’s meant for those who may never study or even be interested in reading other scriptures. Its purpose is unique: it is designed to be read without being read—by watching it live, by seeing its message in action, in you.
I searched tirelessly through every corner of that chamber, but I couldn’t find it. I doubted its existence within those walls—until the teacher looked at me and said, “It’s you.”
Yes, you are the Mystery Scroll. Your life, your actions, your love, and your choices are the divine translation of God's Word. You are the living, breathing scroll through which God's message of salvation, grace, and love is revealed to the world.
You are the Word Made Flesh
Jeremiah 31:33 reminds us: “I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.” The Lord has written His Word not just on ancient tablets, but on the very fabric of our lives. When we live in obedience and love, we become walking scriptures—living testimonies of His divine truth.
Shining His Light
Matthew 5:16 urges us: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Our lives are meant to be luminous scrolls, displaying His goodness and mercy for all to see. Every act of kindness, every moment of forgiveness, every act of integrity—these are the words written across our lives, revealing His nature.
The New Testament Promise
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 declares: “You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men. Clearly, you are an epistle of Christ... written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God.” We are the ongoing testament of His love, His salvation, His grace. Our lives are the pages others will read—whether in joy or hardship, faith or doubt.
The Mission: Be the Living Scroll
Today, I invite you to see yourself as the divine scroll. Your life is a translation of God's Word into thought, action, and reality. Make it beautiful. Make it true. Make it a reflection of His love and grace.
Translate Scripture into action:** Live out the truths you believe.
Translate His love into kindness:** Show compassion to those around you.
Translate His salvation into hope:** Be a beacon to those lost in darkness.
Your life is the most powerful testimony—a living scroll through which others will read God's message of hope and salvation. Remember, the greatest translation of His Word is not just in what we read, but in how we live.
