The Glory Inside The Tent: A Reflection on God’s Hidden Treasures
Inspired by Jonathan Cahn’s ‘The Book of Mysteries’

At first glance, the image of desert dwellers’ tents—dark, dull, and unassuming—might not seem extraordinary. Yet, as we consider the biblical tabernacle, we learn that what appears plain on the outside holds incredible treasures within. This powerful truth reminds us of a spiritual principle: the true worth is often hidden beneath the surface.

A Lesson from the Tent of Meeting

Imagine standing before a simple, worn tent. The outside is unremarkable—perhaps even unattractive. But step inside, and everything changes. The Holy Place reveals the table of the presence, the altar of incense, and the seven-branched menorah—each a symbol of divine light, worship, and provision. Moving further into the Holy of Holies, we encounter the Ark of the Covenant, containing the Ten Commandments, and resting upon it, the visible glory of God.

Précis of the Scripture Passages:

Exodus 40:34-36:* *“Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Moses could not enter the tent because the cloud was on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.”
This passage shows how God's presence filled the tabernacle, signifying His glory and divine approval—something unseen from the outside but profoundly real within.

Psalm 27:4:* *“One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.”
Here, the psalmist expresses a desire to experience God's beauty and glory intimately, beyond superficial appearances.

Ezekiel 44:16:* *“They shall minister to me, they shall stand before me to offer the fat and the blood, declares the Lord GOD.”
This highlights the importance of approaching God’s presence with reverence and purity, recognizing the sanctity of what lies inside.

Hebrews 4:16:* *“Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
This verse encourages believers to go boldly into God's presence, trusting that within His throne of grace, treasures of mercy and grace await.

The Message: Go Deeper, Find the Treasure

Much like the tabernacle’s hidden glory, the true riches of God are often concealed behind appearances. The world tends to admire outward beauty and superficial grandeur, but God calls us to look deeper. The path of righteousness and spiritual growth often appears challenging and unattractive on the surface—the cross, sacrifice, humility. Yet, as we press inward—through prayer, worship, and pursuit of His presence—the beauty and treasures of God unfold.

The deeper we go into His presence, the more glorious and precious He becomes. The love of God, His mercy, and His divine glory are treasures waiting for those willing to seek beyond the surface.

The Call to Action

Today, God invites us: go beyond the curtain, deeper into the tent of meeting, into the innermost sanctum of His presence. Discover His glory, His love, and His treasures that only the faithful who venture inward will find.

Remember: The glory inside the tent is reserved for those who are willing to go deeper—beyond appearances and superficiality—to truly encounter the Lord.

May this reflection encourage you to seek Him with all your heart, trusting that His glory and treasures await those who venture inward.
