“The Ancient of Days shows up!,
Today we amplify, expound and explode Daniel chapter 7 verses 13 and 14
Daniel 7:13-14 describes a night vision where "one like a Son of Man" comes on the clouds of heaven to the "Ancient of Days." He receives supreme authority, glory, and an everlasting kingdom. This prophecy foretells Christ’s divine enthronement and universal, unending reign over all peoples and nations.
Core Elements of the Vision
The Ancient of Days: Represents God the Father seated on a throne of fire in supreme, eternal judgment.
One Like a Son of Man: A figure coming with the clouds—an imagery of divine majesty. Jesus used this exact title to declare His own divine authority.
The Presentation: The Son of Man is formally led into the presence of the Father to receive legal and royal investiture.
Three Gifts Granted
According to the Scripture River Breakdown, the figure receives three distinct endowments:
Dominion (Authority): Absolute power to govern and rule, contrasting with the chaotic, destructive authority of the four earthly beasts that preceded the vision.
Glory: The radiant, heavy weight of divine honor and majesty belonging to God alone.
Kingdom: A multi-ethnic, global domain where every nation, people, and language serves and worships Him.
Historical and Theological Meaning
Contrast with Earthly Empires: Daniel just witnessed vicious beasts representing brutal world powers (Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome). The Son of Man’s kingdom replaces them with a human-like, peaceful, and eternal rule.
New Testament Fulfillment: Jesus links this passage to His ascension and His future return in glory
Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Acts 1:9 to 11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.Unending Nature: Unlike every human empire that collapses, this kingdom can never be destroyed or pass to another ruler.
