But why do so many people feel distant from this peace and fullness of life? Let’s explore the reason.
Step 2: Understanding the Problem — Sin Separates Us
God created us in His image, designed for abundant life and relationship with Him. However, we’ve all made choices that separate us from that divine connection. Because of our free will, we sometimes choose to disobey God, leading to a spiritual gap.
The Bible explains:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23
"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 6:23
Despite our efforts, no human effort or good deed can fully bridge this divide. Many have tried, but the Bible reminds us:
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is death." — Proverbs 14:12
"Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God." — Isaiah 59:2
The truth is, no human bridge can span this chasm—except one.
Step 3: God’s Solution — The Cross
God’s love is shown most clearly through Jesus Christ. His death on the cross and His resurrection opened the way for us to be reconciled with God.
The Bible declares:
