Genesis 17:18-21
And Abraham said to God, "O that Ishmael might live under Your blessing!" But God replied, "Your wife Sarah will indeed bear son, and you are to name him Isaac. I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. As for Ishmael, I have heard you, and will surely bless him; I will make him fruitfu multiply him greatly. He will become the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him in great nation. But I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year.”
Genesis 17:23
On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael
and all those born in his household or
purchased with his money- every male among the members of Abraham's household- and he circumcised them, just as God had told him .
Exodus 7:10-13
So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent. But Pharaoh called the wise men and sorcerers and magicians of Egypt, and they also did the same things by their magic arts. Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron's staff swallowed up the other staffs. Still, Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.
