JUST STAY PUT!
Psalm 139:8 (NIV), which states: "If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there." The psalm emphasizes God's omnipresence, highlighting that no location—high, low, or far away—is hidden from Him.
Going somewhere else has great appeal for many who are addicted to too much of a good thing. This is known as a "geo-graphic cure," although those who use
this term are well aware that a "geo graphic" cures nothing; it is just another escape. Escapes simply compound ad-diction. If I want abstinence, peace of mind and physical wellbeing, what needed is to stay put, go to as many meetings with ‘like-minded Christians’ as I can and ask for help.
For today: God grant me the wisdom to understand my longings and the willingness to act in my own best interests.
