Christians aren’t called to loose living: Right through Christian history,’, ‘the workings of this evil spirit can be traced; through men who have found it easy to shelter their sins beneath the imputed righteousness of Christ ”, and have used a phrases like “not under the law but under grace ” to blur the otherwise disturbing fact that God is holy and that there is such a thing as the moral stringency of Jesus. ... So the Christian faith has been wounded in the house of it’s friends, and the terribly damaging divorce between Christianity and ethics has cast a slur on the Church’s name. Jesus didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfill the law. “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot nor one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.Matthew 5:18. Most ‘believers’ fit into this camp and we are seeking to right the balance between what’s called ‘hyper-grace’ and the law which Jesus Himself came into the world to fulfill, through living in and through us by His Holy Spirit.
