I’m going to try to amplify exemplify and explain Psalm 34:7
Psalm 34:7 says: "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them."
Explanation
The Angel of the Lord: This refers to a special heavenly messenger or a visible appearance of God's protective presence.
Encamps Around: This uses military word pictures. An army pitches its tents in a circle to guard a camp. God surrounds His people like a secure fort.
Those Who Fear Him: This does not mean being scared of God in terror. It means holding deep respect, awe, and love for His holiness.
Delivers Them: God actively rescues and pulls His people out of danger and trouble.
Amplification
The Amplified Bible expands the verse to show that the protection belongs to people who worship God with awe and obedience, ensuring that each one receives rescue. It is not a distant or general safety net; it is a close, personal shield.
Exemplification
King David wrote this psalm from a dark cave while running for his life. He had just escaped from a dangerous foreign king by pretending to lose his mind. When David looked back at how he made it out safely, he realized that unseen heavenly guards had surrounded him. Another clear example in Scripture is when the prophet Elisha was surrounded by an enemy army at Dothan. His servant panicked, but God opened his eyes to see the hills filled with horses and chariots of fire protecting them.
